Yonex 308s!!

Just bought a pair of the Yonex 308's the blue grey colorway. My buddy is a Yonex pro and told me I should give them a try he said you'll play like Wawrinka...after about 30 mins on court i realized i was probebly wearing the best tennis shoe ever. Ok so i wasn't playing like Wawrinka but now I understand why he has improved so much since wearing Yonex!!!!I have always been a loyal vapor guy since way back to the zoom vapors. But after giving these a try i'm on the Yonx bandwagon. I've always used their rackets and was always impressed with the quality and craftsmanship, and shoes are the same. I don't know what more to say they feel just as light as the vapors but with more cushion and they gripped the court like pine tar!!!overall a great shoe no doubt!!!
Does anybody else feel the same way??

I LOVE the 308's!!

My plantar fascitis is much better (might be the night boot I wear?). But, these are way more cushioned than the various Nike's that I've worn over the years.

I'm sold on the Yonex shoe. Now, don't go changing it on us!!
 
Been raving about Yonex shoes for years here. I always say if someone who loves their Nikes or Adidas would try them they would switch in a heart beat. You are a case in point. Welcome to the club.
 
Yup, i always knew Yonex had good stuff i ave a bunch of their shirts and shorts. But was always reluctant to get the shoes that has all changed now. I never thought i would be a walking YOnex advertisment on the tennis court. Yonex from racket to sneakers.....hahahaha

The Yonex 304 series were better than the 308 with respect to toe-box room, I found the 304 toe box significantly wider than the Prince T22s or anything from Nike or Adidas I tried. I still have a pair new in a box that I've yet to use for matches.

I'm hoping the 254D have the last shape of the 304s.

Well cushioned and grip tenaciously. Only fallen over a couple of times on artificial grass when frosty.
 
I found the 308 Light one to be my favorite, I agree with the OP, Yonex shoes (suggested by a tennis guru) are better than the rest, by far, second bet are Asics.

BTW when is 309 coming??

Since the price was lowered, I had to get a pair of the black and red ones. One of the best looking shoes out there IMO.
 
I got the new 309s and I literally outran Hussain Bolt in a 50 yard sprint.

He is the IT coordinator at a company in my building.

it just has more syn material to make it more durrible, I have seen it in person, it is not so revolutionary. It reminds me of a better cage.

Yonex claims that the Power cushion is even better than before. and it's got more cushioning. this is what the Yonex rep in Yonex USA told me. Is this not true ?
 
why waste your time with vapors? Yonex are the best. You and I both know this.. don't waste your time with what the Nike fanboys say.

Agree, Vapor does seem to have better stability and low to the ground feel. but Yonex seem to have much much better cushioning and energy feedback off the ground to jump and quick starts.
 
both are awesome shoes. vapors feel a bit lighter and breath better, but yonex 308's last almost 1.5 times as long for me.
 
And what are all the fans of Nike and Adidas if not fan boys. I wear what is the most comfortable and best shoe out there. I don't fawn over the big companies that pay millions and millions to stars to wear their products just so they can pass those fees onto the consumer.

Agree, Nike Vapors and Court ballistecs are way too over-priced. It probably takes about $10 to make the shoes including the labor.

I seen some pictures of the next version, seems to arrive towards mid-January. I'm actually happy with the design of the outsole, I never understood why most shoes have a very thin outside heel sole while the inside of the heel is very thick. Especially after going in the shoe destruction thread and realizing that most people grinded the shoe on the heel on the outside rather than the inside. On the next version, this is actually the reverse: the ouside is thicker than the inside.

but isn't the inside that provide you with cushioning ?

and you can't get the 308's anymore. I think it is cause Yonex is only making 309's now.
