Yonex 308s!!

What a great looking new shoe! Can't wait....but I cannot decide between these or the new Diadora......decisions decisions.

they are actually Orange. Japan Yonex also confirmed that it is orange.:)

Orange, White red was the description I saw, anyways don't matter I hope you enjoy the shoes I know I enjoy mine!! Do u also play with a yonex stick as well?? I use the old RQIS tour 95 but have taken quite an interest to the new vcore G' will definetly give it a test run whe they are available.

Personal preference for sure, but Yonex clay shoes are the best in the business. However, I will say that my 2 pair of Diadora have been better for hardcourt. Yonex hard courts are nice, but the fit of the Diadora are just so so comfortable, just like a sock with incredible cushion. I own lots and lots of shoes for tennis, currently 10 pair in my closet and I almost never wear them out before getting rid of them. The only 2 pair I wore out were Lacoste hard court shoes and my old Diadora.

Just because a player wears their shoes doesn't mean they are good/best. Just look at Nike and Adidas for example. Pros wear what they can get paid to wear. Yonex does make great shoes. In my opinion the best. Have been using them for years and years. Everyone I have ever talked into trying them have become life long fans of them. They have the best cushioning and are lighter than most.
 
It's actually 10 grams...wont make that much difference....they have kept adding weight to each model ever since the 304's.

what is 10 grams ? 1 oz ? No, not true. model before 308's were heavier and 308 became lighter on the last model. heavier one before 308 was also about 14.8 oz. I thought it was way too heavy

The light just looks like an update on their normal power cushion, not very much like the new Power Cushion Pro shoes. And they are anything but "light" with a 13.9 weight. That is the same as the Emerald "light" shoe, which is also the same as the Power Cushion 308 weight.

TW lists the 254D(urable) at 12.9 ounces in a size 10-1/2.

In my opinion, the 254D seems to be the closest to a continuation of the 304 line of shoes. I'm hoping it is because the straighter toe box of the 304s fit my feet well.

Nice tip. I was also looking forward on having these 309's for clay, but to my Country TW does only ship with FEDEX, and the shipping cost + taxes will reach almost 100% of the shoe cost.
I'll try to have one pair in rakuten. I'm actually using a pair of 308's and It has just left my resolution 5 / speed / speed clay as backup....

Looks like the 308's are being sold out in every store across USA. Ony few sizes remain. I may not have a choice at this point but to buy the new model even with heavier weight. maybe I can change to lighter shoelaces ?

Dude u gotta have more faith in the new yonex's u can hardly notice the difference. What size are u?? I may be able to help u out....

They weigh the same as the Vapor 9 dude, the Vapors are known for there cat-like nimbility..No?
 
Power Cushion Pro is more expensive as well,,, 308's were 109 starting Cushion Pro is $119.

Im glad I got my 254D earlier no sizes on close out sales,, $10 off-$89 thru another retailer.

I dont even notice the weight on my feet with 254D, movement is a breeze.

The (2013) 254D are now on sale. Still have a wide range of sizes in the white and blue. I'm just hoping that they have the toe shape of the 304s, as I just broke out my last new pair today.

If they're more durable than the 304s, I'll use the 304s for matches and the 254Ds for practice.

I know. but I remember the shoe right before SHT 308's,,,,i think it was SHT 307's that weighed about 0.9 oz heavier than 308's. I just felt my feet was heavy with those shoes and was much harder to move even with just 0.9 oz difference.

I hope this isn't the same problem with the new current model

just picked up 2 more. New ones don't look too hot and are heavier. 307 and 308 and the best tennis shoes I've ever worn by a wide margin
 
Upon further review....I think I'm gonna start a rotation system, I'm a strong believer in the theory wear a pair of tennis shoes until they are worn out before swithing to another. But I'm just so inlove with my new Yonex's the Power Cushion Wawrinka Aussie open model i think I'm gonna go ahead and pass up my 308s and wear the new ones to bad i have 2 pairs, 1 was the red colorway which i think is one cool looking pair of shoes!!! Well not to worry I may start a rotation system....

That good, eh? Noticed the last version has just received a price reduction down to $74.99; unfortunately everyone is out of size 12. I actually like the look of the new model.

you say you love the new ones. I thought they didn't feel that different than 308's ?? what made you change your mind so much towards the new model ? Other than you like the way it looks. Looks doesn't matter to me so much.
I am more into Performance of the shoes.
 
Just ordered a pair of the new model for $52 and change from the A-Maz-on site. I had a some AmEx points/gift cards to burn.

Will report back with playtest observations at a later date...

I still love my 308s but what can I say the new ones are no worse in performance and the weight difference isn't really noticeable. Besides the look of the shoe is starting to really grow on me. Not to mention the 308s are still very much available here in Asia, at my local yonex store they still have bunches of size 9s in several different color ways!! Not to mention I get a 30% pro discount. I've bought all my 308s for about $80. They get the new ones in this week I wish I had controlled my urge to buy the new ones, I would have saved about $40. Not to mention I get my rackets for real cheap as well, can't wait to give the new vcore G a demo.

what Vcore G ?? where ? does it come in 27.5 inches long ? also Can you get me some Yonex Red color shoe laces ?? I will pay you for them handsomely.
