Yonex and WTA players

There was a time I remember when more than half of WTA top 20 used Yonex racquets. It is not so anymore, are Yonex racquets going downhill or simply because Babolat is getting aggressive ? And, also, why is Yonex more popular with the females than males ? Does it have anything to do with the racquet head shape ?
