Yonex Dr/Ai 108 Customisation

I own a Yonex Ai108.

Has anyone customised this? I added 2.5grams of lead to the 2/10 o'clock positions and 7 grams to the handle.

Problem is that it is still unstable on volleys. Any thoughts?

Sub 10oz racquet, not surprising that it's unstable. Probably need to add some (maybe a lot of) weight at 3 and 9.

This is a losing battle. You'll try to combat the instability with more weight, but on a relatively stiff 108 racquet you'll just make it uncontrollably powerful. Many go through this phase of trying to turn a snowshoe into a player's racquet, and it's generally futile.

it just too light , no mass it is 9.0 oz frame.
if you are getting push around, but ti get a new tool.
as stated above, this frame is Head heavy and customize right for you would be a challenge.
but you could start as greatly stated above ..3 and 9 for stability.
try a 2013 or 2015 Blade 104...great head / stringbed real estate...it will standup much better in a heavy cross fire...

Such a pity.

I am using the light frame because of an injury. Looks like i have to suck it up and live with bad volleys for the time being.

This is the worst 104-108 racquet I've ever demoed. You can't do anything with it. It is a difficult racquet, I don't see any improvements from the midplus.
Head, Prince, Babs and Wilson have really good 104-107 options. Blade 104, Red 105, PD 107, and Extreme/Rad 107.

Try a pure aero lite. Has a very wide head for a 100, is still really light and stability is an area it shines. The 108 rackets have a lot of essentially unusable real estate on the racket face so there's no point unless you're bunting the ball back and forth. If someone is hitting hard enough at you that stability on volleys is an issue, you need to downsize

Yep i agree. For me it ended in high weight, high tensions and stiff strings...
