Hey folks.
I’m in the market for a new racket and was particularly drawn into Yonex for various reasons namely quality control and availability in where I live.
I am rather torn between the 2020 yonex Ezone 100 and the 2022 Ezone 100.
I am not the tallest of individuals (5ft5), therefore needing a 100sq inch racket for serves.
i typically like a more stable racket especially in the 3 and 9 o’clock regions of the racket because I have 2 handed BH that often struggles to generate massive power. I also often don’t like getting racket flex upen receiving heavy balls to my BH.
the 2020 Ezone has a higher stiffness rating despite having a beam width less wider than the 2022 version with a 67 stiffness rating.
However, upon reading other reviews, it appears to me that the 2022 version accounts for a more stable and muted response than the 2020 version which is befuddling.
So my question is, which one is better for a guy who just wants to hit a clean stable backhand cross court without racket torque/flex.
I live In a country where I’m unable to trial demo rackets etc therefore making this decision harder.
Thanks in advance.
