I was just in Japan, and was trying ito get into the new Ezone demo days, but schedules didn't fit. However I did hit with someone who just had a blacked out preproduction demo of the EZ100T, which strangely is a Japan only product. I only hit with it for about an hour. I still use the 04VC98+, but looking to get into the 100 range if possible.
Strung with PolyTour Rev 17 White at around 52lbs, and hit on a carpet indoor court, which lowers the bounce vs hard court.
Off the ground, the new 08EZ10T certainly feels a smidge better than the 7th gen EZ100 (07EZ10) outside the sweet spot. My previous demo of the 07EZ10 was disappointing for me, but I now think it was about string choice. The grip of the PTR17W allowed better control, and the head lightness of the EZ10T allowed allowed a bit more closed face brushing of the ball. It feels like a 320ishSW stick, and far from my usual 345, so it's naturally anemic in comparison. It is still 16x19 and thus launches higher than the EZ98. Stability is also decent off center, and being much lighter, I was finding the bottom of the racquet face more often due to a slightly faster swing timing.
At net, it was very decent with good feel and controllable stability. I had no issues with short low angled volleys, or depth control with spin, something I did off the bat with the 06/07VC100/98+.
On serve, it was nice to hit flatter balls, but too light for me to really test the various spins. Still it allowed for decent pace and spin.
On returns is where I didn't like it, but that's more a me problem with lighter, lower swing weight and general use of plow and timing to hit returns.
Overall it is an interesting iteration, and based on my experiment with the EZ98T+, I'll probably order a 315+ swing weight version via Yonex Custom Fit, probably with +0.25 or 0.5 cm extension and 315cm balance as a base. Just in time for April visit in Japan.
