It's complicated. Yonex is touting this as "plush power." RA per TW has increased by 1, but there's also a new geometry, string spacing and material. I did hear others say the 'prototype' is like the DR (aka plush). So it depends on whom you hear and how they say what they think.

I'm pre-ordering it. I'm an EZONE guy. I'll force myself to like it even if I don't really (like the current gen). :-D (But I do like the current gen anyway.)

got it. I will wait for more reviews on this one. I think the current one is a very very thought out stick but they lacked dampening all around.

started playing with an EZONE 100 2018 (blue) and added 3g total tungsten tape at 3&9. Right now have I have random square poly 17g ( bought on the bay as a prototype string) in the mains with Gosen OGSM 16 in the crosses strung at 48/51 lbs. I am a 3.5 counter puncher with a one-handed backhand as my favorite shot. Any string suggestions for this racket? Any feedback would be appreciated!

I’ve used this racket for a long time, and I still do, so I would recommend either Hyper g or Wilson champions choice hybrid.

Thank you for ur feedback! I found that I liked Pro's Pro Blackout 1.28mm/ either OSGM 17 or Dunlop Synthetic Gut 17 (wo the wrap)...i like it at 48/50 and 52/54... I also used this in 2nd Gen Pure Strike 100s as well... looking to try Pro's Pro Blackout 1.24mm/ Pro's Pro Syn Gut 16... or maybe try another Pentagonal shape string as i seem to gravitate towards them

Don’t know if you’re still using it because it’s been a while but I also might recommend going to the 98 for you’re 1 handed backhand.

still using the racket! and thanks for the recommendation.. usually 100 sq in is my sweetspot (pun intended)..i know that most people say to use a smaller headsize for OHBH but I like have more sq in.. i used to use the POG so I am accustomed to larger headsizes...
