I'm Babolat Pure Aero VS user for more then 4 years and I really love this racquet.
The problem now is that I have to replace me but I can´t find them anymore in the market. Problably I will have to switch for the new Babolat Pure Aero 98 but I was doing some search and people say that the new Yonex Ezone 98 is very similar to the Babolat PA 98.
Anyone here already played with both racquets and can give me some insights?

Thanks in advanced

Played with the ezone 98 for 2 years. Now main the pure aero 98 after an extensive racket journey. I can confidently say I'm playing my best tennis right now with the aero 98.

Ezone 98 lacked stability, feel, and spin. Only maybe thing it has over the aero 98 is slightly better maneuverbility. Biggest complaint most have with ezone is it is very easy to hit deep with. The dip to depth ratio never felt good for me on the ezone though I probably could of fixed it with a more shaped/spin string. I mainly used PTP out of stubbornness to stay within brands.

That being said maybe if you have a flatter stroke ezone will fit great for you. Tons of pros and high level rec players use it. If you hit more penetrative spin then I say aero 98.

I would consider solinco white out and vcore 98 as alternatives if you are making a demo list. GL.

Thanks Leen for the feedback. That was my feeling also!

Have you tried the new PA98 and find it too different? I'm trying to figure out why you want to look beyond it. The Ezone has a lower launch angle and much less feel on the ball compared to the PA98. Additionally, I haven't tried the new Ezone, but have heard its got even less feel than the previous gen.

I never tried the Pure Aero 98 but I'd say it's closer to the vcore 98. I have an ezone 98 and the launch angle is really low. If you play flattish you could consider it, otherwise I'd stay with the Babolat. Or try the vcore 98 instead.

Hi Alcawrath, never tried but I believed it’s very similar. I never really like the new cosmetic that’s why I didn’t make the move. I’ll wait for the new one that probably will come out at the end of this year.
Two days ago I have the chance to try the new Ezone 98 and definitely it’s not an option… I will stay with the PA VS and wait for the new PA 98.
thanks for the feedback

The Ezone 98 does have a very low launch angle and I primarily use Blade and Radical 18x20 and it was surprisingly hitting as low. The Aero VS is an awesome racquet which I’d still use if it didn’t cause a bit of arm discomfort. The feel, spin, power, control is amazing but it is stiff and doesn’t feel good on occasional mishits against hard hitters. I hated the Aero 98 because it was so mushy and muted.
