i to been looking into this racket hope they review it but you never know yonex gets looked over sometimes

i dont want hollow racket like pure storm gt

I tried the Ezone xi 98 a few weeks ago. It had some nice points, but overall it felt like it needed some more weight. To me, it felt 'hollow' as you put it and would seem to possibly be a bit unstable against big hitters. I much prefer the feel of the Pure Storms (leaded up a little). Just my HO.

I have all the rackets mentioned above. Since you play with spin I would suggest the vcore 100 or the ezone xi 100 lite.

i'm gonna be trying out the vcore 100s soon. do you think the ezone xi lite has a similar feel and spin potential? i tried the previous non-xi version and thought it was too dampened and crisp. does the xi version have more feel? is it also crisp or softer?

the vcore and ezone xi are two completely different rackets with a much different feel.

And the new ezone xi overwhelms the older ezone models. There's more feel and stablilty with the Ezone xi. I don't think I'll even pick up my older ezone rackets again.

It's much easier to generate spin with the vcore 100 although I suggest trying both models. The ezone xi 100 lite is softer than the previous ezones. No comparison.

Good luck.

I looked under the buttcap of Xi 98.

The hairpin was completely filled with the same PU foam material used for the handle.

Is this usually the case with Yonex racquets?

The Ezone 98 is a nice racquet. It has good feel, isn't too stiff, and has nice power. I liked it better than the Vcore 95. The Ezone had a bigger sweetspot, and a softer feel, both were nice, but I felt the Ezone was the better racquet. Just my impressions..

Compare apple to oranges. 95 VS 98 is not a fair comparison and I am sure 98 would have a bigger sweetspot, at least I hope since is bigger in sq inch. Vcore 95D is not too bad and it might be heavier for some player but string sensative as heck.
