Yonex Percept-themed bags

We are also still waiting...I promise you, as soon as we have them available, you will be able to find them on our site :)
Yonex does not always launch their bags with the family of racquets (at least not here in the states; even if the pros are carrying them).

Looks like we are still a week out from delivery on any new Yonex bags (which is unfortunately out of our control).

Hopefully sooner than later,
Michelle, TW

Are you saying they will be on your site this week?

Nope.

I'm saying we are waiting to get them too :)
And once they are here and we get them ready to go, they will be on the site.
Since my last comment, the delivery has been pushed back again, so looking like we should get them 2nd week in Feb...again, out of our control unfortunately and of course we will get them up for you as soon as we can!

Apologies on the delay,
Michelle, TW

Looks like the in stock date has been moved again and is now scheduled for the first week of March. If someone else has them in stock and can ship them to you now, that might be a better bet as we are still waiting too. :(

Completely out of our control, wish we had better news about that though!

Apologies,
Michelle, TW

Good news for your friday!

9 packs are up! (If you REALLLLLLY need the 12 pack you should be able to call in and put it on an order; hopefully they should be up by EOD Monday!)

The colors look awesome in person, videos coming soon!

Just to piggyback on the needing a 12 pack comment, Yonex bags are big. My Babolat aero 6 can hold 6 racquets between both compartments (3&3) and it’s fairly tight. I can easily fit 5 racquets in just 1 of my compartments on my last gen Yonex 6 pack leaving the other compartment completely open for clothes, water, balls, etc

Ive used the Wilson 15 pack Super Tour historically before I moved on to a duffel bag our coach gave us (which I don’t like). Should I expect that the 9 pack would be enough space for me? Not that I need a giant bag but I’m used to that Wilson bag

Are you okay with gambling getting a smaller bag? If the question is, is a 9 pack Yonex as large as a 15 pack Wilson, I’d have to imagine it’s not. That said a 9 pack Yonex is big. I had a 12 pack once and it was absolutely ginormous. I could play the AO for two weeks and live out of that thing completely.

Going back to my first point tho, what I’ve seen is that Yonex bags can hold close to the advertised number of racquets in one pocket alone, whereas Babolat can only do it while using both pockets leaving no room for anything else.

If you’re looking at 9 packs I’d imagine you’re gonna be able to fit 7+ racquets just in one side alone. If you’re trying to carry 15 racquets obviously go with something larger.

My kid recently switched from the Vcore 95 to the Percept 97H (I know, an odd jump in frames) and more out if need than aesthetics went with the Percept-themed green 12 pack bag. It has plenty of room for everything, the foil-lined racquet pocket is huge, and it is a beautiful bag he is proud to carry.

The foil has been pretty well proven to add absolutely nothing to climate protection. The only proven (easily available) method is buying a white bag. A white bag will pick up significantly less heat than a darker colored bag helping everything in it stay cooler, not just one particular pocket. Which foil doesn’t even do.

Ive had my doubts about the foil’s effectiveness since companies began including it, but if it is already in yout bag choice, majes sense to use it as intended just in case. In my son’s bags, he puts his own frames in the foil pocket, and those of teammates or other players who ask him to string theirs in the other large pocket so organizationally, having a big bag like this works great for him

Since he us soon going to go play college tennis in Arizona, where it can be quite hot outside, Ive suggested to him that he try putting a cold pack in the foil packet to see if that helps a bit in decreasing the effect of hot weather in polyester string. Dunno if anyone can soeak for ir against that suggestion.

Like I said, a white bag will be the best thing you can do. I had a hard time in my 60 seconds of googling finding truly scientific stuff. But the above is from a motorcycle forum (I think) and the poster measured white leather side by side with black leather after leaving both in the sun for 15 minutes. The white came out 20 degrees Celsius less than the black. Thats 36* F difference. Absolutely absurd difference. Unless this guy sells white leather, I have no reason to believe he’s making it up.

Tldr: buy a white bag.

Im in no position to take issue with that experiment, only that a leather tennis bag of the size needed to support a competitive college player would likely be cost prohibitive to the budget of a college student. But we will keep an eye out for such a thing regardless.
