Size 10.5 was actually weighed. and it came to be 14.04 OZ. that is pretty much just 14 OZ. That does sound like Yonex made the Eclipsion slightly lighter than powercushion pro.
Spoke to the rep a few days ago.^^^^^^^With some Brilliant Deductive reasoning,,,,i figure Size 10.5 would weight 14.4 OZ. Powercushion Pro weighed 14.9 OZ so it is slightly lighter but not by that much.............. Not sure if I should put up $165 to buy this early from UK. or should I just wait til Febuary when it is supposed to come to USA ??
I went ahead and got the Black and Pink one. had to pay a little more but with the rebate coupon, it wasn't too bad.... I am also going to get the Red one later January when Tennis Warehouse gets them if I like it. If It is as light as the weight indicates(around 14 OZ), I should really like this one. Powercushion is best GAME day cushioning shoe in the market today..... too bad it is patented and no other company can copy it...Spoke to the rep a few days ago.
Jan 25 for the Red/orange and Black/silver. The Green ones are clay court shoes. But a hardcourt tread will be released in march for that color as well.
I still have 308. and that is the best shoe I ever had so far. Powercushion pro has just as good of cushioning but it is heavier so I couldn't wear it... that is why I am hoping Eclipsion is lighter by little bit that will enable me to switch to this new Eclipsion. Still waiting for my pair from England.Still on my two pairs of PC 308s - superb shoe - so snug and comfy - if the new PCs are better than the 308s than it's a terrific shoe --
Lleyton Hewitt still wears the SHT 308's. He refuses to wear anything else.....Still on my two pairs of PC 308s - superb shoe - so snug and comfy - if the new PCs are better than the 308s than it's a terrific shoe --
True - Clearly Hewitt loves the 308s - like Pete loved those OscillatesLleyton Hewitt still wears the SHT 308's. He refuses to wear anything else.....
Sorry not yet. maybe this weekend. I have been just admiring it in the boxOk Nost.....it's been 5 days....you have to at least have worn them....any thoughts on the shoes please?
What is PCD II ???Nice, look forward to your review.
Have you tried the PCDII? According to the glowing reviews and light weight it should be perfect for you.
YONEX Power Cushion Durable IIWhat is PCD II ???
I think that is 2nd rate shoes by Yonex.. I never really had much interest in buying that one. sorry. just cause durability is something that I am not concerned with since I buy new shoes every 2-3 month.YONEX Power Cushion Durable II

Hey , Nadallite,,, Durable is one Ugly shoes...LOLYou can safely disregard fedace's opinion on the PCDII.
Strangely enough, the durable shoes have been the lighter more speed oriented of the Yonex shoes. The durable have had more toe box space than most other Yonex models. I'm wearing through my PCD shoes and I'll need to upgrade soon. The PCD was not a particularly durable shoe, but it was more durable than the 304-series it descended from, primarily because the outsole rubber pattern was tighter under the ball of the foot and under the big toe, and there was a little more drag resistance on the top of the shoe, but I'm not a toe dragger, so I haven't fully tested that.
One potential issue with the move from the PCD to the PCDII is that the sizing seems to have changed. Some people felt that the PCD was a 1/2-size long. I tended to disagree with that, but the wider toe-box might have caused that belief. A review posted somewhere here said that the PCDII fit smaller than the PCD so take that into consideration.
Hey , Nadallite,,, Durable is one Ugly shoes...LOL
I assumed it was a 2nd rate shoes because it was built for Durability and it is cheaper shoes. so I assumed it was not the best performance shoes Yonex put out. however, I will admit that I never tried that shoes. My criticism of your analysis is that you always call them second rate shoes even though you admit to having never worn a pair.
What they are is lighter shoes than the other models, and perhaps a bit less structured. Whether you consider that 'second rate' largely depends on what you're looking for in a shoe.
Have you worn them yet? Or are you still admiring them in the box?Sorry not yet. maybe this weekend. I have been just admiring it in the box
See that that is one ugly shoes.^^ yeah what he said. Same price and good looking too (course that is subjective) AND much lighter.

I've have the PCP and PCD; both great shoes, PCD is wider, softer and a lot lighter. PCP is more firm and stable. Both great shoes. PCD does run long (compared to PCP).
When I wear through my PCD's I'll try the II's, they sound great. I go through shoes in 3-4 months so the 6 month warranty is awesome.
Kinda weird the OP will go to great lengths to got a shoe .5 ounce lighter but won't try the obvious choice because they are 'second rate' lol.
What's up with with the shoe weight issues? Skip leg day? Polio?
OK, I took them out of the box and took off the stickers and took out the insoles and put my custom insoles in. Sorry, I was going to test them out last weekend but had to work. will try them on this weekend. but I will tell you that this is insanely beautiful shoes. and feels wonderful and light. I have the shoes that Stan wore during world tour year ending championships in London. so it is Black and red color. I feel like Kylo Ren wearing this shoes. Lets hope it performs on the courts just as good.Have you worn them yet? Or are you still admiring them in the box?
Lets hear your thoughts on the shoe you was dying to get your hands on.
BigDaddyO the place to ask this question is in the ask TW question section. They always respond to any question there.TW Staff - when are the new Yonex shoes released - the PCP / Eclipsion shoe, in particular? Thanks!
sorry just haven't had the chance. but I have worn them around in the house just to get the feel for it. This shoes does sit high meaning it has thick cushioning and very plush. If you like the Low to the ground thin cushioning, you probably won't like this one. But if you love thick plush very responsive cushioning, this is for you. Another thing I noticed is that it somehow looks and feels Narrower than SHT 308's shoes. Maybe it will widen out after I play tennis in it for a while but just out of the box it feels narrower fit than SHT 308's and even compared to Power cushion pro. Maybe it is just my imagination. to my experience, the Fit is best described after you play tennis in the shoes for couple of hours.Ummm.....don't people also play durning the week? Been way to long Nost.
OK, finally got to try the new Eclipsion black/pink shoes for 1.5 hours of hard practice/drill play. 99% Positive and 1% negative.Ummm.....don't people also play durning the week? Been way to long Nost.
do you think that 1/2 bigger made that much difference in little extra weight I was feeling in the shoes ? Not sure how much weight that 1/2 size does add ??Thanks for the playtest..... about what I expected.
and one thing with this durable model, I don't mind the little less stability due to very light weight,,,,,,,,,,however what does worry me is that I was told this one had LESS cushioning than the powercushion pro model. That is something I can't accept as tradeoff.^^ yeah what he said. Same price and good looking too (course that is subjective) AND much lighter.

Maybe very little, but what the scale says and how they "feel" on the court is what's important to me....plus they must look cool!do you think that 1/2 bigger made that much difference in little extra weight I was feeling in the shoes ? Not sure how much weight that 1/2 size does add ??
One thing I do hate is this Pink color with black. SWISS flag is RED not Pink, yonex people........Maybe very little, but what the scale says and how they "feel" on the court is what's important to me....plus they must look cool!
Just enjoy wearing them.
I thought most women like pink....being it's a man's shoeOne thing I do hate is this Pink color with black. SWISS flag is RED not Pink, yonex people........

1. Insane great Cushioning--better than powercushion pro(a little, not tremendous more which is still Great). Pillow like and gives back energy like nothing else. Really helps on the Explosive 1st step. However, it is not low to the ground feel, if you want that, it is bit of a trade off when you have thick cushioning.
2. Stability better than any other shoe by Yonex I have ever worn. I could make cuts and go backward and make another cut on the hard court and no worries of turning the ankle and my ankle and feet was secure in the shoes.
3. I said above, the shoes looked Narrow out of the box, but it must have been just the look because I wore 2 socks and didn't feel narrow at all, felt very comfy. Now one precaution is that I had buy 1/2 size bigger than my normal because that was only size this store in UK had left. Sold OUT. LOL
4. Now comes the one slight Negative, if you can call it that. this shoes did feel slightly Heavier than the SHT 308's I am used to. and I did feel it on the court especially in the beginning. but I have talked to the Pro about this and he said it is the 1st time you are wearing the shoe and I will probably get used to that little extra weight as I play more and more with it on................ One caveat, this shoe is still slightly lighter that the Powercushion pro(last model) which I hated because it felt way too heavy at least to me. So weight wise, this shoe is somewhere between SHT 308's and Powercushion Pro. We will know more I am sure when Tennis warehouse starts to carry it and they measure the exact weight, I am sure...............
One note: I did have to buy 1/2 larger than my usual size,,,,do you guys think it makes that much difference in weight ?? Not sure that is what I was feeling or what ?
Let me know with any other questions guys. This New Eclipsion shoe is Overall GREAT shoes from Yonex.
Eclipsion has plenty of forefoot cushioning. it has big time cushioning everywhere ......Thanks for this review.
I avoided Power Cushion Fusion Rev because I was told it lacks forefoot cushion.
So Elipsion, PC Pro and SH 308 are not the case?
Eclipsion has plenty of forefoot cushioning. it has big time cushioning everywhere ......
Can't speak to the PCDII but the PCD has MORE cushioning than the PCPro. Difference is PCP has more cushioned insoles whereas PCD has more cushion in the midsole and a thinner insole.and one thing with this durable model, I don't mind the little less stability due to very light weight,,,,,,,,,,however what does worry me is that I was told this one had LESS cushioning than the powercushion pro model. That is something I can't accept as tradeoff.
not sure, I remember somebody saying PCD 2 doesn't have as thick of cushioning as power cushion Pro. How can PCD have More cushioning than Pro and have such a Light weight ????????????Can't speak to the PCDII but the PCD has MORE cushioning than the PCPro. Difference is PCP has more cushioned insoles whereas PCD has more cushion in the midsole and a thinner insole.
Now take the insole out of the PCP and put it in the PCD and = cushion heaven. (but also a little added weight with thicker insole).
I really can't believe a 1/2 size would make a weight difference but they may feel more 'clunky' and thus more heavy.
I thought cushioning was much better with Eclipsion in the forefoot than power cushion Pro had. never tried the Fusion rev because TW review said it FEELS much heavier than measured weight indicates.how about its forefoot cushioning compared to PC pro or Fusion Rev ?
thanks.
OK, Hour 10 of the playtest. Cushioning is still like Brand new and gives great every feedback on the 1st step. I am starting to get used to the slightly higher weight at this point. But I still do feel it after about 1 and 1/2 hours of hard play and my leg starts to get tired. I would really love to know the Actual weight of this shoes after TW measures it and puts it the website. I still think it is slightly Lighter than the power cushion Pro but I like to know how much lighter ? but I do know that it is heavier than the SHT 308's shoes.
All I do know is that after SHT 308's, shoes that followed it FELT heavier and clukier. althought this Eclipsion is better than powercushion pro. I do wear 2 pairs of socks but they don't get super sweaty like the pros do. Slightly sweaty but not like it was dipped in bucket of water or anything like that...Averagely sweaty socks weigh about 2 -3 oz more than dry, so a change of socks after an hour would make far more difference than different shoes, although @norcal's solution is longer lasting [emoji57]
I don't think the exact weight of shoes is that important, our feet are 10-15 times heavier than the shoes, but the feeling of weight can be noticeable. That's more down to comfort, ride height & whether we're winning or losing at the time.
