Yonex Power Cushion Pro Shoes

Nost. they do not list the weight of the shoes. The price in USD is $108.28. Regular shipping is only USD $14.53....but that can take anywhere from two to four weeks to arrive. They do offer expedited shipping but that runs USD $51.79. So I would suggest holding off and getting them at TW....also TWA has them as well. TW will have them in march. My deal was I wanted the yellow clay court shoes in addition to the red ones.

why 2-4 weeks ?? Are they taking the long route to USA ? Around the globe thru Pacific ocean ferry ?

Your guess is as good as mine. I have read that sometimes things are delayed at customs. I will say that I have purchased several not tennis items online from Canada and will say it takes longer than I think it should. Your better off waiting a few weeks and just getting them from TW. As I said, my problem is I want the yellow ones and TW is not going to be carrying them.

Good news!!

We will be carrying the Eclipsion in the CLAY model!

Sorry for any confusion...let the celebrating begin ;)

Michelle, TW

I love the durable version, fits like a glove and has so much cushion. Hoping to send 'em in soon for the 6 month warranty and get the new version. Hard as hell to wear them out too!

The durable version fits a 1/2 size big btw, compared to the PCP. Both are great shoes. I've tried many brands and Yonex is the best for comfort and durability imo.

I have both Pro and Durable versions. Durable feels 1/2 size larger as you indicated and also wider. The out-sole is softer and to me this shoe is not as stable as the Pro. Pro is far sturdy compared to the D. I wouldn't rate these shoes as very durable but they are better than average.

This is the best color for my taste:

TW has just gotten the power cushion Aerus in. these are might lighter the the prower cushion pros weighting only 11.8 oz for size 10.5. I had seen them on Yonex site for a while but don't really like the looks of them. Will still wait for the Ecipsion.

The Aerus are even lighter than the PCDII. Thanks for the heads up about this shoe. It might be a superior match-day/speed shoe for those who don't need the stiffness and toe-drag protection of the eclipsion.

True....just don't like the over all look of them...but might break down and try them though

this model will be discontinued when Eclipsion comes out in early March. so maybe stock up on this if you only like this model.

Are the sides lower than the power cushion durable? I have the PCD and it almost feels like a mid top.
right that is why I always felt Pro was unstable at ankles. and what I have hard time believing is Durable is so much lighter even though it feels like midtop.....that is more material. but it is still lighter ????

As a lover of all things Yonex...those Aerus shoes are fugly lol.

Nost - just try a pair of PCD's, they are light, cushiony and you might just like them.

I ve the Durable II.
It is the best tennis shoe i ve ever had.
Tryed a lot. Barricades don t work at all for me. Can t even walk around at home with them, big risk for having a injury only by walking.
Believ it or not. Before I found the DII. I was playing with low-cut basketball shoes ;-).
Since I totally felt in love with Yonex. (all there stuff)
Now I am looking forward to buy the eclipsion.
Wanted the SHT Pro but decided to wait for the new lounch. Is it worth waiting?
Next thing I ve to decide is: Should I buy a Yonex CLAY version.
I play alwasy on CLAY. So maybe a no brainer. But the DURABLE did the job just well enought.
Is it a big difference Pro/Eclipsion ALL COURT / CLAY? I really wonder about your opinion there?
Hmm... Saw the eclipsion clay is yellow.
But just from the look I would go for the black one.
I had the eclipsion in my fingers 4 days ago, on the yonex store ;-) felt very very nice.
But they don t sell them now. I was lucky enought that i could touch them ;-) and make pics.

YES, wait for the Eclipsion, far better shoe than pro.

Hi Michelle,

When will the TW review come out? Thanks
Ahhh good question. Not sure if we will be playtesting them yet or not. And we just got them in stock and have several shoes we are playtesting ahead of them.

So I'm unsure if it will happen, and if it does it, it wouldn't come out until April at the earliest.

We did try them on and you can see our fit descriptions for how we found them to fit.

Sorry about that -- I'll let you know if I get more info on a playtest,

Michelle, TW

Hi Michelle,

When will the TW review come out? Thanks

Hey Coolkoala, I don't think Yonex has ever given TW shoes for a playtest. I doubt they will start now. I ordered mine today. For me there is no waiting. Yonex makes great shoes and always feel great.

Thanks mate. Do you have vapor 9.5s or the propulse 4s as well? If yes, how do you compare the fit with the eclipsions? Cheers

OMG - I will also pull out my credit card.
Only - thing is the size. Need to be sure. Sending it back (europe-usa) is a bad thing.
How is the fit compared to the Durable II ? Same?
Durable II fits me just a little bit to large but over all perfect. Should I take the same size?

Hihi... No one has it in Europe that soon.

We've playtested Yonex shoes in the past. I spoke to our shoe buyer, we will probably end up playtesting them, there are just a handful of shoes in front of them already ;)

We will see...as of now, none of us have played in them, so even if and when we do playtest them, it will be a month+ out!

Sorry Coolkoala, I don't wear any Nike shoes at all. They hurt my feet and I refuse to pay extra so athletes can get paid millions. I have worn a Propluse 2 in the past. I find the Yonex shoes to much more comfortable and the size true to fit. I haven't recieved my Eclipsions yet. I suspect they will arrive on Tues since they didn't show up on UPS system yet.

Nibali77...it might be best to wait for TWE to get them in. I am actually surprised they don't have them yet. I am sure they will soon though.

I have always found Yonex shoes to be true to fit. Have never had a problem with fit.

Hi,

I saw in TW site that the yellow clay court shoes weight 13.6 ounces (size 10.5) and the other two colours which is for all court use weight 14.2 ounces (size 10.5). Can anyone tell me is this mistake and why the clay court shoes are lighter ?

slanotran,

If you weighed two identical shoes there is a chance you could get a variance like that (kind of just like how each racquet doesn't always weight the EXACT same). The only difference between the Clay version and the all-court version is the outsole pattern -- maybe the tread on the all-court version is just slightly bulkier. However, I wouldn't worry all that much about .6 ounces, you shouldn't feel it being any heavier! :)

Hope that helps,

Michelle, TW

The thing with the lighter weight on the clay version was the same with the SHT Pro (previous model) line.
Clay was also a bit lighter. So it has to be the special Clay outsole.
BTW - Wawrinka moved so well with the special Yonex Clay outsole ;-) .

For me always playing on clay - I ve problem to don t pick the yellow one - even I like the black one far more.
Maybe I get myself lucky and get both.
I hope my wife s allowing it ;-) .

Does somebody knows how the clay version performs on clay compared to the *normal" one?

My clay ones arrrive Monday. I have used clay shoes on hard courts in the past. Never had a problem. Clay shoes I believe weight less because if the tread pattern. Less rubber so weights less.

I went to a yonex store just to try shoe sizes cause i want to make the switch from Asics to stans new shoe. I would say 13US of the old cushion pro i tried was a little bit smaller than my Gel resolution 6 13US. So i think for those wondering stick to your true size and don't go a half down.

Ps - those yonex shoes breath of quality. The cushion pro felt super comfortable and every part of the shoe was well cushioned. Very solid feeling.

Yonex has the best cushioning. Durable II i had was wonderful. The SHT I tried on in the shop was also superb smooth to wear. I ve no dobt the new one is also ;-) .
Yonex does quality in all there stuff.

Btw. whatch youtube: "wawrinka chennai hightlights" - awesome footwork ;-)

@nostra: I wonder the opposite way. All-Court for Clay. ???

Not sure what you mean but

at about 2 month mark,,,,,,,Yonex Eclipsion is still going Strong.....cushioning holding up Really well, much better than SHT 308's. and Stability is incredible......I jumped about 3 feet off balance and landed awquardly and still landed safe and No ankle turn at all,,,Shoe remained Stable as a rock.

sounds nice. Maybe I will ware it for street-basketball too ;-)

I mean. How does the All-Court sole (black/red ones) perfom on Clay Courts? Does it work on Clay surface?
How much better (or different) does the Clay sole (yellow) perfom on Clay Courts?
Compared to the black and red ones?
Is the yellow one soooo much better on clay then the black?

Do the Eclipsion's have a similar fit to the Power Cushion Pros? The only feedback comment to date on the TW website says they run narrower than the previous version. The generous width of the Power Cushion Pros is one of the primary reasons they are my "go to" shoes.

Good point. Yes, Power cushion pro fit differently than Eclipsion. Eclipsion fits more tight especially in the ankles to give you that extra ankle support. Eclipsion fits like a glove where PCP fits Loose, and it made me turn my ankles all the time and that was big part of why I couldn't wear that shoe.

The Tread is made for hard courts and I always found the hard court tread made me slip way too much on clay courts. and clay court shoe tread does give you better traction. That is why I slip a lot on clay and don't play on clay. I did heard that clay court tread does perform better on clay meaning it gives you better grip on the court.

google them, one place in the UK has them in stock both red and black
Are you sure ? I was told by one store in London that Black and Pink shoe Stan wore at year ending championships in London was limited edition and wasn't made anymore. and they only had few sizes left and was almost sold out. Is Yonex going to make more of the Black and pink limited edition shoes as well ?? TW in USA doesnt' have it. only have the Orange and all black model.

right those are the new colors. Why isn't Yonex making the Black and Pink one Stan wore ?? Those would sell really great, it is very cool looking shoes in that color. much better than all black.

Can anyone here tell me if the Power Cushion keeps its cushioning for the life of the shoe?

Like Original new state ?? no. No cushioning in the world does that. but this new shoes keeps its powercushioning better than the previous ones and longer.

I have high arches and very wide feet .... These are the best shoes on the market for me.

Their clay court shoes are hands down the greatest clay court sneakers ever made . The soles are almost like a grass court shoe and they really dig into the court .

Are there any Yonex shoes that run a little lower on the sides? Mine feel like mid tops and the shoe tongue is made out of some very noise synthetic. If it has a 6 month warrantee that would be even better.
