Are these shoes more narrow than the Asics Gel Solution Speed 3? Or the same?
they are not. i tried both speed 3 and eclipsion. i had to return the speed 3 because they were too narrow for me. i kept the eclipsions which had more space in the toe box. with the speed 3 my toes felt cramped

I normally wear US 8.5 with my Nike Vapor 9.5 tour. I'm buying the eclipsions online. Should I stick with US 8.5? Thanks guys in advance!

Thanks mate! Do you wear the eclipsions with just the one sock? Do you think wearing 2 pairs is a bit redundant given the power cushion foam?

I'm comfortable with wearing only one pair of socks. I haven't tried them with two, so I'm not a 100% sure I would fit in then, but if you can wear 8.5 Nikes with two pair you can wear the power cushion with two socks too :D (I haven't worn two pairs in my Vapors)

One thing I've noticed with the vapor 9.5 tour released last year is that it feels narrower than previous colourways. That's why I want to know how it compares with the eclipsions..

It's not a different shoe. There are shops that will allow you to customize your shoes with logos and names. I presume that could be done like the shoes above.

Where can I buy this shoe ??? and how much does it cost ?
I have a friend that works the Rome tournament and has access to the players. I bought a pair of the general release of the same size (US 10.5, which I wear) for comparison
Stan's player exclusive has a wider base and carbon fiber sole plate
412539983.jpg

The rear cushion unit sits higher due to the carbon fiber sole plate
412539985.jpg

The forefoot has ample room on Stans shoe.
412539986.jpg

The uppers of stans shoe again sits higher than the general release giving it a wrap around sensation and protection

Thanks for sharing the info T21D. May I suggest to break the new one in and make the comparison then. Just so you're not comparing a new one and broken in one

I can't give you definite a weight difference. But, considering Stan's shoe is wider and taller in height, it actually feels lighter than the general release version minus the insoles on both silos

I dont' understand how breaking in the new general release is going to make difference. Explain

You have to remember that top tier pros ( Fed, Rafa, Murray, Stan, Nole ) have different molds/ cushioning materials different from the store bought versions. Each have their own specs and most importantly weight reduction, THEIR silos are made for a couple of match wear use. You got guys here on this forum that can go through a pair of shoes in less 3 months with everyday use. It puzzles me how 3 months is the magic number for most shoes.

I don't mind changing the shoes every 6 weeks, I can get a new pair every 6 weeks. but one I have on is lasting me like 5-6 month now, and it could go longer, wear isn't that bad. I play tennis 2-3 times a week. This is longest lasting Yonex I ever had.

I just thought the forefoot might widen a bit with footwork. I'm sure they're not the same. It was just a thought

Oh man, this shoe is insane......I had this shoe for 6 month now and cushioning is basically just as good with slightly less response. and the tread and rubber on the bottom sole only has slight wear......... WOW.... and upper and outside of the shoe still look like brand NEW.... WOW

WildVolley - our feet sound very similar and I've owned or tried all of the shoes mentioned. I also loved the original PCD - I had the white/blue ones and black/yellow ones - and they both fit as you described. Wide, cushioned, light, soft but still supportive etc. Tried the PCD II when they came out - too narrow in the same size and didn't' want to go to a longer shoe to get the width right. Also tried on PCP/PC Light at this time - both too narrow. Fusion Rev will be your best bet. They fit my feet extremely well - do not feel clunky to me at all. They are also pretty durable, at least the same as the original PCD. To me they feel slightly more substantial and should last a touch longer - despite not having a warranty. I wear the same size in the fusions as I did in the original PCDs. Unfortunately, Eclipsions fit like the PCP in my opinion - would need to go up a half size and even then they pinch the mid/forefoot a bit too much. Hope this helps - I just ordered another pair of fusions and packed up both pairs of eclipsions for return

Going though all the feedback before I bought fusion rev, none of you point out the fact while it's wide and roomy in toe box, it's not as wide or as roomy as PCD. The difference is significant too. I wonder if it's because we have different color PCD? Most of mine are black and red, the very first color available. I only have 1 pair of white/blue and I have not wear it yet, and never got black/yellow.

Possibly - but I really think the widths are similar. Where I think they might differ is the overall volume/height of the PCDs - thinking back, I think they were a bit larger/higher overall. Fusions are wider than most shoes out there but still hug the top of the foot a bit. I also never said that they fit exactly the same - just that they have both worked well for me. They are definitely different shoes and I prefer the additional support of the fusions at this point.

The height is one thing, but width difference is significant too. I guess if your feet fit rev perfectly PCD works great too, but the other way around is not true. I think Rev can work for me, but it needs some break in.
