Yonex RDIS 100 mid (93) similar to Babolat Pure Storm Ltd?

Can someone share their experiences with the yonex RDIS mid in comparison to the pure storm ltd?

I'm a solid 4.5 level player... This is my 4th season getting back into tennis after a 10 year hiatus.

I've been playing the Pure Storm Ltd this season (with lead in the handle and overgrip - 345 grams unstrung) and pretty happy with it. Last year I played with the Dunlop Aerogel 200 (slightly sluggish and muted feeling which I did not like) and also fooled around with several others the year before (APD non cortex, Head Liquidmetal Instinct, Wilson ncode 95). In addition, I have demoed several others over the last 3 years and have concluded that I prefer ~ 95 sq inch racquets that are heavy, headlight and low swingweights.

I've noticed that 18x20 racquets give more control than more open racquets in that they produce a much FLATTER TRAJECTORY and thus am less likely to spray shots long. However, I also find that I tend to clip the tape significantly more with 18 x 20 racquets on serve and on normal forehand/backhad shots (much less net clearance).
Therefore, I would really like to find a racquet that plays VERY SIMILAR to the Pure Storm Ltd but with a 16 x 20 pattern and have narrowed it down to the RDIS 100 mid.

I like the "whippy" feeling of the PSltd with it's low swingweight and I'm hoping the yonex has similar characteristics (No tennis shops around me carry the yonex 93, only the midplus so I'm willing to take a chance and purchase one based on specs and reviews from here)

Thanks to all

Very different frames - PS Ltd is much more flexible than the RDiS 100 mid, very different feel on contact with ball.

I would try the New PS Ltd GT or the Aerogel 100 before the Yonex.

Also, you might try the Volkl PB10 mid, it's 16x19 and I think it would be a better fit than the Yonex. The Volkl seems be a pretty polarized frame and swings very easy.

Lowering string tension will increase the deflection angle of the string bed at ball contact. That should give you more height over the net without changing your stroke.

My advice to you though is learn to use the PSL to it's full potential by experimenting with some spin. Try hitting deep topspin shots with about 5 feet of net clearance.

I have hit a lot of shots lately that people just let go because they are so high over the net and they drop in about a foot in front of the baseline. You need to practice these with a good pal though because they tend to look out from your side of the court, but they can land well inside the baseline. You might need someone to tell you how close they are to get comfortable with judging the shot.

If you can mix up your flat and spin shots it will be much easier to control the rallies.

I want to ask which one is better for all court player, the BPSltd or YONEX rdis 100 mid ?!

I'm an all court player, I don't deal with "spinning" that much, I use the Eastern grip & I hit more Flat.
Regarding to the string pattern the Babolat gives more control, but the stiffness is just 62, I've read on (tennis-warehouse) that the Babolat is rock solid on the net despite the low stiffness level.

Is there anybody test both of them before?
Which one of them you recommend ?

Both very different racquets, best thing to do is to try them both.

I play with RDiS100 mid and love it. There is nothing out there like it. People say "it's too stiff" "hurts my arm", but I have not had any problems with it and I have had golf elbow in the past.

I recently picked up one of each of these frames (well, an RDS001 mid), and I'm liking both of them. I've had about an extra two weeks with the Babolat, but the Yonex is also a solid frame that gives good spin (17ga OGSM @ mid tension).

I play with RDiS100 MID and just like DEKKO1 said, to me, the stiffness doesn't bother me at all. It is a great frame with awesome quality. Offers great amount of power and spin with control. I added 4 grams of lead at 12 so I can get more power and spin. Also stringing with Polystar turbo in low 50s.

I've used both and out of the two I'd take the yonex rdis 100 mid. The babolat is a lot of work and a fairly small sweetspot. The yonex has a bit more stability in the hoop and a good all around stick. I've moved on to other frames but out of the two I think the Yonex has it all over the Babolat.

Thanks for all of you guys, I do appreciate your recommendation.

I was concern about the stiffness of the yonex, but after your posts I think I'll buy it now.
