Looking for thought on the RDX 500 MP vs. the RDX 500 HD - I am playing with the 500 MP but am interested in the HD also.

I like the HD version better. I can flatten my forehand with more pace and still keep the ball in the court. Much more control than the regular 16 mains RDX 500. It is also better to tension the HD a little lower so it does not feel to boardy due to the dense string pattern. You can also get as much topspin with the HD but more control when you hit flatter.

    Take Off Eh!
Agree 100% w/previous poster and would add that the HD, because it has a slightly higher static weight + a bit more SW has more 'plow thru' than the MP off the ground. I also feels it volleys better. I hit pretty flat (eastern) and get all the spin I want from the HD but better ball depth. To me it almost seems like the MP imparts too much spin on the ball (and I hit flat).

Keep the HD strung with a 17 or 18 ga < midrange and you'll love it.
