Along with the new EZONE release on Jan 18, there's also going to be a new shoe - the Sonicage 2! Did anyone ever try the original? It was a lot wider than the flag ship Eclipsion shoe.

Original sonicage were nice shoes and good value. As people mention, even the standard width was wide in the toe box and the length was short - would go up at least a half size

I recently bought a pair of Sonicage Wide as a match shoe. My feet are at least 2E (perhaps more, my feet are actually wide rather than high volume) in the toe-box but with a fairly standard heel. I found the original Sonicage a little tight in the toe box, but they did stretch out a bit. The Sonicage Wide are not a particularly wide shoe, but should be good for those with about a 2E width foot.

The Sonicage wasn't as wide as the original Fusion Rev, which had more toe room.

I see that they'll still offer a wide version(y). The Yonex lasts have always fit my feet better than the New Balance shoes (2E) that I've tried. I wouldn't mind if Yonex made a more durable practice shoe.

Agree the original was a tad short. I really liked these shoes because they are super comfortable - almost like a hybrid tennis/running shoe. Because of that they are not the most stiff and supportive (if you need that) but plenty of toe room and light.

Had no problems with the width on the original sonicage (D, although it was nice of them to offer in 2E). I would say it felt a tad short as a result of the low-ish toebox, not enough to force a size change from my usual 9.5 though. Lightweight and comfortable with good but not outstanding stability. Really liked the aesthetics with the unique profile and the geometric cut-outs on the side cage. Definitely if you wore it on the street you'd be the only one with a shoe anything like it, and that's precisely what I do with it these days.

The new one doesn't look as unique but still has some interesting geometric lines.
