Can anyone compare the 80 to the rdx 500 mp? power, spin and serve.
I blindly traded for a ti-80 today and will not hit with it for a few days.
Any comments from others that have used it would be greatly appreciated.

the rd ti-80 and the rdx500 mp have a lot of power, compared to most yonex racquets in their category (the rds/rdx mids/mp), but are great racquets.

the rdx500 is extremely spinny and is good for players who hit with a lot of topspin. it's not suitable for serving bombs, but it has really good placement.

the rd ti-80 is not as spinny as the rdx500, but is still a topspin frame. however, i believe (as well as some other ppl here on this forum) it to be one of the best serving racquets in the yonex line. it's also good at net, being slightly stiffer than the rdx500.

however, the rdx500 is WAY more forgiving than the rd ti-80.

    have fun with it. :)

One thing that I noticed about the Ti-80 is that it cuts through the air much more quickly than the RDX, which is a good thing, I guess. I found that the Ti-80 had a lot less power than the RDX, and was a bit more suited to precision flat-hitting. Also, with the Ti-80, you're going to want to pair it up with a good forgiving string job - the racquet has a tendency to be harsh and tinny if strung too tight or with a string too stiff.
Another thing to keep in mind about the Ti-80 is its gripsize-weight variation. For gripsizes 1/8 to 3/8, the racquet is roughly 310g unstrung, and for anything larger, it's roughly 325g unstrung.
    Hope this helps...

Better Feel = RDX 500 MP
    Better Flat Serve = Ti-80
Better Spin Serve = RDX 500 MP
Better Topspin = RDX 500 MP
    Volleys = Even
Better at hitting flat groundstrokes = Ti-80
    Control/Placement = Even, both good
Slightly more power = Ti-80 (makes sense, it is a heavier frame)

    My two cents

For what it's worth, I much prefer my Ti80 over my RDX500 Mid.
