Yonex Tour F 97 alsmost identical to Duel G 97α

At the moment Yonex has 2 almost identical sticks in their collection. VCORE Duel G 97α (290 gram) (not yet on TW) and the VCORE Tour F 97 (290 gram). All these VCORE sticks looks very similar to me, but these 2 really hit the spot.

headsize: identical, 97 sq in
static unstrung weight: identical, 290 gram
unstrung balance point: identical, 325 mm
string pattern: almost identical, 16 x 20 (Tour) versus 16 x 21 (Duel)
beam width: almost identical, one has 22 mm beam (Duel), the other one a 21 mm beam (Tour)
length: identical, both 27 inch (although one is specced on 27.0 inch and the other on 27 inch, which is not necessarily the same)

What sense does it make to release 2 almost identical sticks?

1 extra cross makes a HUGE difference, same argument for the beam width.

And since Yonex' QC is pretty good, you'll notice those differences.

None really… Hence why the Tour F line will be merged with the Si line into this new line (SV?) from what I can gather.

Ah that makes sense, there were already too many Vcore lines available. So the Duel and the SV will stay and the other 2 will be fased out?

Tour F is pretty low powered with the thinner beam and extra cross string. I am considering the Duel G Alpha but would not go for the Tour F.

tour F is a rounded beam with aero fins. duel G is much more flat beam, with no fins and ruffles ridges grommets. the duel G also has a pure drive-esque strang pattern thats tighter toward the top, looser at the bottom.

i believe that dynamic repulsion of each respective model is similar.
