Got this frame + 6 pack bag + Super 850 string + stringing + 2 wristbands + 3 overgrips for a great price at a WTA tournament - an impulse buy, though I like to convince myself it was a tsunami and earthquake donation. I was using the Wilson BLX Pro Open prior to this. I am liking the Yonex a lot. The isometric shape giving more area towards the tip seems to make a difference on off center hits. The frame is not flexy and low power like the previous Yonex frames I have demoed, like the RQIS1 Tour??? So the unique Yonex feel with bending in the throat is not apparent. However, it is very comfortable and above all, "solid." It is made in Japan, and while I would like to attribute it to superior manufacturing, it may be a matter of using better materials. It doesn't feel hollow or tinny at all. Its response is also very "true," in the sense the ball seems to go where it is directed. Unlike Head frames, the bevels caused me no transition problems from Wilson. Does Yonex really use better materials? How do they still compete?
