Yonex VCore Pro 100 (2021) vs EZone 100 (2022)

I recently demoed the VCore Pro 100 (2021) and fell in love with it. I was about to make the switch from my Gravity Tour, but after watching several very positive reviews of the new EZone 100 I feel the need to demo that one first before pulling the trigger. I plan to do that in a couple of weeks, but curious if anyone here has played with both and would be willing give their feedback. Happy to share my thoughts once i've demoed the EZone. Thanks!

I have both. I picked the eZone because it has more power. They both swing similar.
Thanks. The controllable power of the VCore Pro is one of the things I really liked about it. I can swing out without fear of launching it, which is a real problem I have with my VCore 98.

THIS!

The ezone will not be as stable, especially at net
if you love swinging without fear, the ezone will not allow you to completely relax, like you can with the vcp100.

I've never been a fan of the Ezone somewhat muted and stiff feel, but I'm big VCore Pro fan, even though I've never hit with the 100.

I thought its ezone who sat in between vcore pro 100 & vcore 100?
With Yonex, in general, VCore is spin, Ezone is power, VCore Pro is control, but the differences are of course more nuanced than that, with a fair amount of overlap in qualities. With the EZ100, VC100 and VCP100 in particular -- based on stock specs:
All 300g unstrung static weight.
Strung Swing Weight: VC (324) > VCP (321) > EZ (317)
Power Potential: VC > EZ >= VCP
Sweetspot: VC > VCP > EZ (even EZ is pretty large though)
Spin: VC > VCP = EZ (all very good spin)
Control: VCP > EZ > VC
Stability (Twist Weight): All very stable at >14, but VC (15.2) > EZ (15) > VCP (14.7)
Comfort (RA & Handle Hz): VCP > VC > EZ

All three are good sticks in their own right. For most intermediate players, the EZ100 is probably the safest pick. For higher level, VC or VCP, depending on play style and taste.

My young teenage son plays high-level tennis with a VCore Pro 100, weighted up at 3 & 9 and in the handle and Hyper-G full-bed. His younger brother is demoing the Ezone 100 2022 right now as I type this - I played with both all weekend. We've also played with the GTour - which is a nice stick, but we both prefer the VCore Pro 100 to the Ezone.

Most of what has been written is accurate. The stability (with added weight), precision, touch/feel, control of the VCore Pro 100 is superior. The tradeoff is, you need to be comfortable generating your own power, which is a lot harder to do consistently than most rec players realize; it requires great form and confidence.

The Ezone 100 has more "pop" type power and gets its control through a stiffer frame. This is great if you play casually and why I've read EZone is the Easy racquet to play with (or something like that). But as you gain confidence to swing-out in competitive match play (and not just hitting), Ezone 100 type power is challenging to master, especially if your opponent hits with pace (but can be done with time/practice). And, for me, the touch/feel is not to my liking.

When I play with the VCore Pro 100 I have confidence in my shots and know where the ball is going. I have not played with the EZone 100 as much, but definitely don't have that level of confidence. In the end, whichever racquet you choose, you will get better simply "knowing" your racquet and adjusting your game accordingly.

I thought higher SW means higher power potential, no? if yes why EZ PP > VCP?

Sweetspot: VC > VCP > EZ (even EZ is pretty large though)
I thought sweetspot also determined by beam width? in this case BM of VC>EZ>VCP, thus sweetspot rank should be the same?

Spin: VC > VCP = EZ (all very good spin)
Control: VCP > EZ > VC

anyway, the reason I'm studying this topic is because currently I'm playing with Speed MP & Pro, both 360+ edition

Just now, out of curiosity I bought an ezone 100 2022, and found it more powerful than Speed MP

Thinking if I should try Vcore 100, but apparently it's even more powerful that ezone, that I thought suppose to be the most powerful 100 amongst the 3

Vcore 100 has the most power. It’s my racquet. Poly tour pro 17 in the mains and rexis 16 in the crosses at 53 lbs for both. Great racquet, both powerful and comfortable. Can’t go wrong!

@delosalpes Finally what was your decision?
I have the same doubt and I am going to ask to try both rackets

Ha! I went with the VCore Pro 100. But after 6 months switched back to my VCore 98. All of the Yonex racquets are great, but I'm a Yonex fanboy. Try them out as long as you can. Demo the ones you think might be a good fit and maybe the ones you think might not be, and then buy one of the one you like the best before investing in multiple racquet. And if you're still in love after a few months, put a ring on it and buy a couple more.

just curious, what made you switch back to VCore 98? I have only tried previous all-black VCore 98 and I think the current VCore Pro 100 plays very similar to it

I have the 2021 VCore 98, never played with prior version. I find VCore 98 much more maneuverable on my 1HBH and at the net. Plus more spin on groundstrokes and more spin and power of my serves. Downside is that it's a bit launchy. So I just needed to adjust my groundstrokes to prevent that (ie, improving my technique) and I think the right strings help with that too, such as sticking to round polys or my current set up with natural gut on the mains and a smooth, slick poly like ghostwire or poly tour fire on the crosses.

i'm very interested in the Vcore pro 100 as i'm trying to make some sort of switch from the DR98 while playing with the DR100.
Has anyone compared the Vcore pro 100 2019 blue red vs the Vcore pro 100 2022 as far as power and stability or anything else?

I hit very briefly with the new Ezone 100 2022 and in those 10 minutes i thought that the DR100 was better because the Ezone 100 felt more head heavy and a bit hollow (btw the DR100 feels a little hollow to me as well but in a different way). However the new ezone 100 had a tad more power than the DR100 but it could be because of the string set up.

VCore Pros are soft and buttery. Give it a try.

It's funny because when the Vcore Pro 310 97, not the 100, came out in 2018 it was in my bag but i was injured and tired of seeing it unused it i sold it....so dumb!!!
I guess i would need to demo the VCpro 100 first and see how it plays myself hoping it is a step above the DR100 which i don't mind so far.

borrowing the topic a bit after some time ... still on search for that second racket ... I already have Ezone 100 300 (2022) and absolutely love it but on multi-day plays it might feel a bit harsh/stiff. I came across a nicely priced VCore Pro 100 300 - would this be a viable option? the shop that has it on sale told me, that it is quite a demanding racket, don't really understand what they are trying to tell me, but so is the Wilson Pro Staff RF97 which I have no problems playing with, as long as we play for an hour, after that my arm is gone (strength wise :p )

also discounted is VCore Pro 97 310, how does that compare to VCore Pro 100 (and Ezone 100)? I know VCore's are quite control oriented and have less "free" power, but I actually realised that I prefer control to power, but still need some power (let's say Pro Staff is perfect in this department).

I managed to get Gravity MP, Yonex VCore Pro 100L and Yonex VCore Pro 97 for demo.
- Gravity MP (2021) strung with Signum Pro Hyperion at 25/24kg
- VCore Pro 100L strung with Yonex PTP at 25/24kg
- VCore Pro 97 strung with Yonex PTP at 25/24kg

Gravity MP is still really great, only problem is string is at the end of it's life (after each ball hit the string bed is making cracking noises). VCore Pro 97 is ... amazing, but I have to invest so much power into each swing that I was depleted in 15 minutes, even sooner than with Pro Staff, but for completely different reason(s).

Yonex VCore Pro 100L on the other hand ... damn!! that's a really sweet stick. just the right amount of power, great control, really close to Ezone 100 300g (2022) but with a little bit less power, little bit more control. for 280g stick really stable racket, but on the other hand, I am not a volley player. groundstrokes and everything else it felt great. plus, it is a tad bit less stiff than Ezone which I think should help on the long run, when playing several days in row.

so I am kind of in a dilemma - Gravity MP (2021) vs VCore Pro 100L. and, if I gor for VCore line - how much difference would 2 points of RA value make, if you put side by side VCore Pro 100L and 100 (65 vs. 63) and how much difference does 20g make (100L = 280g and 100 is 300g) ...
