Yonex VCORE Pro 97 (310) vs Babolat Pure Aero

Has anyone play tested the Babolat Pure Aero and Yonex VCORE Pro 97 (310)? What is your feedback. Which racquet did you like better and why? What were the major differences between the racquets?

I agree with Ryanblessed. I play-tested both racquets. The Babolat Pure Aero is very stiff and powerful, and it started to aggravate tennis elbow I used to have. The Yonex VCORE Pro 97 (310) was very comfortable, less powerful, and I was able to aim my shots (left, right, depth) with great ease and accuracy. Both racquets were easy and fun to play with. I am thinking of switching to the Yonex VCORE Pro 97, and stringing it with a soft poly at around 44lbs or 45lbs to help bump-up the power at bit. I currently play with a Yonex EZONE DR 98 (310), and I found that the VCORE Pro 97 provided more 'whip' to generate a greater variety of shots.

It’s like comparing a squash racquet and a Golf Club....

You either want control, flex and want to generate ALLLLLLLLLLL and when I say all I mean every single ounce of energy that comes out of the racquet go with the VCORE POr. Amazing racquet.

Power spin etc go with the Babolat.

It’s not worth going into more detail. They are so very different.

The big difference between them is everything, vcore is a low powered, control oriented racquet, PA is a powerfull, spin machine racquet.

Agree with what everyone said.
Vcore Pro is a player's frame. Flexible, comfortable, and super accurate. Has alot of pop but need to hit the sweet spot, which is small. Definitely penalized if you dont hit the sweet spot consistently. Absolutely rewarded if you do. Better frame for the advanced player who can go out and power hit w/o help also one who plays alot.

Pure Aero is a power frame. Lots of power, little feel, spin machine. Targeting is more general area and not bulls eye spots like vCore Pro. Sweet spot feels much larger and not so muted if you miss the sweet spot.

I'd say Pure Aero is more a weekend warrior type frame IMHO. If you play alot and have the skills to generate your own power with the technique, VCore Pro.

Hi guys, wonder if anyone can help here. I bought a Pure Aero Team (strung weight 303g). Loved hitting with it, but it wrecked my arm. Then got a Head Gravity Pro, brilliant feel, but it's just too heavy (strung weight 340g). Then got Gravity Tour and settled on that (strung weight 330g) . Still, when I hit for 5 mins with my Pure Aero just for fun, I'm better much with it. Better timing, effortless power and more accuracy. I think that's because I bought a lighter version, but then, light + stiff = pain for me. Is there anything out there that can do that without so much arm wrecking? So a bit heavier than 303g strung and not as stiff as 70RA. I'd love to try the Vcore 97HD. Sounds amazing, but think for me it will be like Gravity Pro - just a bit too heavy. So thinking of Vcore 97 310. I'll be able to swing it faster so thinking I'll get the comfort, control and power from that. I'm in my 40s now, but played tennis most of my life with rackets at 340g. Just looking for something more suitable now. If anyone has any experience or thoughts here I'd really love to hear it. Many thanks in advance.

I think the ezone 100 or 98, or the vcore 98 or 100 would suit you better. All of them are quite powerfull and more arm friendly than the Pure Aero. Another option would be the head speed 360+ MP or even the new Radical MP.

The vcore pro 310 is low powered and more control oriented than the racquets above, it does swing fast, but you won't get power with ease.
