Yonex Vcore Tour 97 vs. RDS 002 Tour

Any former or current RDS 002 Tour players tried the newer Vcore Tour 97? Care to share your comparative impressions? I remember that the RDS 002 Tour was very highly regarded here, with some reservations, but I've never tried it myself.

Like the Vcore Tour 97, the RDS 002 Tour came in two weights, although the latter's variations were restricted to large (SL) and smaller (UL) handle sizes. The headshapes are a little different, but the weight distributions and beam widths are very similar. The RDS 002 Tour was discontinued and replaced in the interim by a reissue of the older Rd Ti 80. Then, after a delay, the Vcore Tour 97 appeared as the direct successor to the 002 Tour.

It's interesting that the soon-to-be released Vcore Tour G goes back to a more traditional beam shape in the throat, like the RDS 002 Tour, as well as back to an orange reminiscent of the 002 Tour.

The VCT97 is a lot easier a racquet then the RDS002T.

The 002T is true player's stick, very low power, very high swing weight, demanding and player's without a full swing will find it a very tough stick to use.

I have never had to reduce tensions on any 16x19 MP stick as much as with the 002T. Tensions had to be as low as with a 18x20 stick.

The VCT97 felt more head light and had more pop. The balls had less spin and the throat flex less then the 002T.

Both my RDS002T 4 3/8 with a leather grip no og or dampener is 365g and has a much higher sw then the stated 330g. My 4 1/2 RDS002T is around 10g heavier.
