In a Tasmanian tennis club there are actually signs on each court saying "players must sweep the court after they finish using the court". So basically every player in that club sweep the court after finish playing. Not really a big deal. It doesn't make a player to be a hero or something. It's their obligation to sweep the court.

I guess you don't speak Italian then. Because if you did, you would have understood the commentator admiring him and saying at the end how unusual that someone stays behind to do that (notice as well how is opponent just packs up and leaves the court). So absolutely not his obligation to do that at all.
