Can you believe that not so long ago Wawrinka and Almagro were considered as good as each other (maybe Almagro was rated slightly better). And in the space of a few years Wawrinka has gone on to win 2 Slams, and Almagro is now basically playing the challenger's tour.
Almagro has just as god power as Wawrinka off both wings, as good a serve, and his movement is similar as well. The only two differences are that Wawrinka actually worked on his volleys and is thus able to finish off the points that his big groundstrokes earn him whereas I don't think I've EVER seen Almagro be able to finish a point at the net. And, Wawrinka has worked on his mental strength whereas Almagro is still a nut-case.
Yet Almagro has still shown he is capable of good tennis - taking a set off Djokovic on clay last year. So, what do you think guys - will Almagro be able to pull it together?
