Your favorite classic HEAD Racket.

Head Graphite Edge. My main stick after briefly moving to a V7 Blade. I used it back in the 80s and I can't let go with it's 81sq.in. head (at the time it was a true midsize and of the earlier mids). Love its pinpoint control especially on volleys.
So much butter!

TXM(aster) for me...near the top of the list if I had to play a money match.
Frames have come *so far* since these were made, right...? (if we listen to the manufacturers). <eyeroll>

tbh, I'll take a TXE/TXM over 98% of what's out on the sales floor today. At least HEAD gave us the PT2.0. It's a start...

Resurrected thread. 2012 seemed like such easy times compared to today.
So I haven't played since 2008. Has a SINGLE significant innovation in racket technology taken place? Pickleball paddles are going through an interesting time; but the constraints on construction are significant(AND no strings to fiddle with!!!). Somehow, I don't think I've missed anything in the racket arena. ;)

Who are actual manufacture that makes the American made paddle? I’m sure like in tennis there’s an OEM marking the paddle for everyone. That’s the business model now

I will best testing the new Head Pro Tour 2.0 along with Dunlop Biomimetic 200 and Radical Tour 630 (yellow/black) later today – all with Luxilon Natural/AluPower.
I must admit that with new strings the feel of Pro Tour 2.0 really improved in comparison to the original ones. Also the feel of Bio 200 is really great.

Not any head racket for me sorry. Tried them all. Since the head magnum in 1985 (?) to current prestige. They are just not for me and never will be.

then you could try playing tennis with a pickleball racquet. You only need one racquet then. ;-)

Youtek radical pro needs some loves on this thread.

A 98sq.in head, 58 flex, 329g strung weight, 345 swing weight in a 16x19 pattern comes with a factory leather grip. This is really a classic racket wearing a tweener sheep skin.

These are my favorite Prestige.

  The best!
Do you both prefered with over Head Pro Tour 630 and Radical Tour 630?

I really like them as well – for sure more than Radical Tour 630. Not sure if more than PT630 - but most recently started to thinking about PT57E again.
Not sure if PT57E can be as good as iPrestige MP in a bit lighter form. I took me many customizations to realize that PT57A can be as good as PT630 in lighter form.

PT57E is the i.Prestige MP
PT57A is the Pro Tour 630

Yes, I prefer the feel and feedback of these iPrestiges over PT630 even though PT630 is perhaps more buttery and obviously a legendary frame. These iPrestiges, in terms of feel at least, I find most similar in feedback with the recently released PT2.0. If you haven't tried that, it is a must for you :)

Haven't been able to find Head Calfskin. Had those on my old prestige mids and loved them. Looked at the Fairways because they are readily available.
Look into Oehms leather grips. If you hold both in hand, the Oehms leather and HEAD Finest Calfskin are virtually identical, minus the branding on them. I had an email exchange with Angelo Oehms a while back, the current owner, and he used to provide HEAD with those grips which they labeled as Finest Calfskin. He now brands them under his own Oehms brand and they are easier to source. Same top grade quality and feel.

Edit:
Some pics.

And I can sneak those into an Amazon order where the wife won't see them...

Make sure you get the Premium Nappa version which comes only in classic brown. They stopped carrying that on Amazon I think. There are a couple of different kinds of leather grips they offer as well but those aren't as soft feeling.

Yes I do, the feel of the i.Prestige MP is unmatched, buttery but solid in a good way, for me that came from years using the Prestige Mid it was love at the first hit! You should give it a go!
