Probably discussed to death...but here goes nothing...
I like Marat. Not for his pure striking of the ball, not for his consistent serve, and not for beating Pete and Roger in slams...but for his charisma, his spark, his style. If he is on the tube, I fear getting a beer, chips, or taking a whiz as I am affraid I'll miss the most amazing part of the match--Marat smashing a stick on the court. His tyrants, emtions, war-cries, and utter mental implosions just keep me rivited to the guy.
And on the women's side, there's Navratilova. She went through so much turmoil in her life and career. So much criticism, so much controversy, leaving her country, etc. She handled everything with dignity and grace. As well, she won titles in singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. She even won at ATP event near the age of 50. Just amazing. She will always be my favorite tennis player of all time.
So, those are mine...whom are yours???
