They increased the speed of the video I think. Maybe just a 5% or a 10%.. but the video looks faster than reality. Am I the only one suggesting this?
 
I've selected a particular 2 forehand combo from Nadal here:

This is how Nadal used to play in his prime. Get your opponent off court with the spin and then flatten out the winning shot.
Just as he stepped in to hit that DTL forehand winner, Nadal has to be aggressive and take time away from Djoko in their matches.

Otherwise his spin gives Djoko too much time to track down the shots, and Nadal just finds it impossible to end points. The UsOpen final just showed how far away he is from beating Djoko.. He has to change something otherwise he is in for another 6 consecutive losses next yr.

The problem is that DTL forehand is no longer a massive weapon for Nadal against Djokovic. Rafa tried to use it many times in the final and majority of the time it came back with some solid interest.

Well, it is some sort of weapon at least better than the cc forehand. He can still catch anyone off guard if he gets the timing right with the DTL forehand.

The cross court forehand is just all spin and no penetration. In the past Nadal used to hit it close to the lines and generate angles using it, but now he hits it in the middle. The spin makes it worse and takes the shot into the strikezone of Djoko. Even Fed doesn't have much trouble with Nadal's forehand cross court, as we saw in the F.O 2011.

Anyway, I've always maintained that the off-forehand (i/o) is the biggest offensive weapon in Nadal's game. Mainly because it's a flatter shot and penetrates the court, but also because Nadal sets it up very well with his footwork. The problem is Nadal hardly hits the shot anymore. And when he does, he pulls it wide..

The first point you posted is also my favourite one. How in the world Djokovic got all those massive ISO forehands back I have no idea.

Agree, if he played that way from the beginning maybe he wouldn't have been broken so many times. You HAVE GOT to MOVE Novak constantly, it's the only way. Great combo.

Seriously, Nadal was cracking the ball like hell and Novak got every single one back, most past the service line still.

I loved those points, but the match grew to be really boring after so many long rallies. It felt like watching the FO final that was supposed to be.

Yes, boxing fight that Nadal played the sand bag.

But seriously, that was 3rd set when Nadal dug deep and spent what he had with nothing left for the 4th.
 
I'm so fuching glad I saw this match live. The most unreal display of tennis I've ever seen live hands down. And I'm a *******.
 
My favorite was Djokovic's "COME AT ME, BRO!" point when he raised his hands after hitting a winner while down break point.

That whole first video rocks..

That match was awesome, no doubt. The third set,, some of the stuff they were doing seemed inhuman, honestly.

Actually the first 2 sets (moreso the second) were also high quality, plenty of sick stuff. The thing is the third was just on a whole 'nother level that overshadows that.
