Your Favorite Round Poly & Why?

I am going to be 60 in 2 months. I can't play with string that stiff. I play with something soft like Cyclone Tour or gut/poly hybrids strung with a nice soft slick round poly cross that holds tension really well.

I do think for the right player with the right strokes that can compress the ball the Kirschbaum strings discussed are great but not for me.

There is a kid I string for that is a snapper.... He snaps anything you put in his racquet in less than a week no mater how stiff, how thick, how expensive.

So I suggested trying a really good string that is cheap and ride this out until he outgrows it which he will.

I ordered Max Power, Max Power Rough, Pro Line II, Pro Line II rough, and we have access to Super Smash. I am going to have him play with these and see if one of these will work and once he decides on one we can order some reels and he can just snap string to his hearts content.

I think he will snap the rough strings even faster but if it is what he wants it is cheap so it really won't mater.
Do you have an update on which string he decided?

He went Cyclone 16G at 55lbs as it is cheap and he likes it so he can snap and snap and snap and snap. He heads away to play college tennis in the fall and will probably hit with whatever Solinco string they have there that they give the kids for free.

Can anyone recommend round polys that play similarly to Kirschbaum Evolution 1.25? Love the string but the color doesn't work in my racket
It is one of a hanful of strings I could recognize in a blind test. Nothing i didnt like about it and found top-spin assistance much better than FortyLoveTennis (former Time410s) channel said. The orange Flash is much livelier, nothing exciting, just dead-easy to play in 1.20 and 1.25 gauge in any type of racket. Ive used it 4 times in 4 different rackets.

In my opinion, Kirschbaum's best string is the red variation of Max Power in 1.25 gauge.

it has been awhile, but I used to use Evolution and Tourna Black Zone interchangeably.
Ordered a couple sets, thanks for the rec!

Thanks, going to give the black flash a try, do you have any experience with any of the different colors and how they play relative to one another?

Liked the orange Flash more than black. Felt slicker and more snappy. Minor differences.

I noticed much bigger differences between then classic-grey Max Power and the white and red variations. These last two have a much more shinier texture than the grey. Like they are a new string.

What are some of your slickest round softer polys?
Dyreex Super Tour 1.25 and Super Tour Soft 1.25
Tru Pro Ghost Wire is slicker than the (not so total white) Isospeed Cream
Base12 Alpha 1.28 (lime)
Solinco Confidential 3.0 Light Blue - Round (unreleased, but can be found in Portugal by two guys) - ReString Zero level of snapback
Luxilon Element (is one of a kind string)
Isospeed V18

Stiffer but very slick that could work as cross strings:

Kirschbaum Max Power Red and White (the most durable string by miles)
Isospeed Rexxxer
