Your favourite TV shows?

Sherloque, what say you @Poisoned Slice [are you a fan? @Feña14 should be thrilled with the fifth instalment] here comes DCI John Luther [not Lionel, ALexander or Lena Luthor.].
No, Sir. One of those shows I've heard about and should have watched. Just never did. Maybe an episode. Now the time to start has past me by. Diving into random binges is not my favorite thing to do at the moment. :alien:

Only really have 2 shows to watch that have not been played on Netflix yet. I hear Titans is coming to it soon so I want to at least check it out. The Punisher is the other. Coming in a couple of weeks I think.

Peaky Blinders back in April. That is still the priority.

Peaky Blinders series 5 teaser hints at trouble for Tommy Shelby

Peaky Blinders fans were treated to a brief glimpse at the hotly-anticipated series five, as part of the BBC’s drama preview.

The teaser, which also includes clips from the new series of Line of Duty, Luther, and Killing Eve, was released on New Year’s Day. It features several shots of Cillian Murphy’s Tommy Shelby, including one where he appears to be cradling a lifeless body, and a shot of a vehicle engulfed in flames.

The series synopsis currently reads: “Series five finds the world thrown into turmoil by the financial crash of 1929. Opportunity and misfortune are everywhere.”

“When Tommy Shelby MP is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain, he realizes that his response will affect not just his family’s future but that of the entire nation.”

Brian Gleeson, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Sam Claflin will join the show’s returning cast of Murphy, Finn Cole, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle. Peaky Blinders will also move from BBC Two to BBC One this year.

Director of BBC Content Charlotte Moore said of the move: “Peaky Blinders is world class drama at the top of its game and the time has arrived for it to move to the UK’s biggest channel. Steven Knight’s epic storytelling is authentic and utterly compelling and I want to give it the chance to be enjoyed by an even broader audience on BBC One.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better response to series four and the impact it had with young audiences. This move will also give BBC Two more creative headroom to experiment with new drama.”

black mirror, fargo, true detective s1, vikings, dark, stranger things, sopranos, got, the terror /// breaking bad - dexter, oz, homeland - all other series were to boring or something was missing ---- like weeds, living dead, 6feet under, band of brothers, and so on

i have every episode of Desperate Housewives, i saw them all about 8 years ago but i'll watch again soon:)
the stories are really unpredictable and the characters are very entertaining for sure.
it won't be as unpredictable next time i watch it, but i've forgotten a lot so it'll still be fun i think....

I think I put it on at the wrong time. Had tennis on tv and wasn't concentrating much. Only got a bit into the second episode so I'm sure I'll still enjoy it. The new girl might become less annoying.

Just annoyed that it looks to be the final season.

Remember Kitchen Irish?

Anyhow, Frank Castle in season 2 of Daredevil was The Punisher.
Not really, no. Daredevil and Punisher season 1 all good but pretty much instantly forgettable. :p

Season 6 Strike Back TV Series on Cinemax starts on January 25th, 2019!
New leader and new assignment!
Reduced officer rank to one only including head guy! Ugh! Cutting the budget to only a 4 person team(one officer, 3 enlisted rank) instead of a 7-8 team last season and a 11-12 member team in seasons 1-4!

The female Captain

Captain Natalie Reynolds (Roxanne McKee) got the axed and she was the reason I watch Season 5! She was a big fan of the show and on her social media was excited to get on with season 6 but got the word two weeks before shooting began.
I fear this is the end!

I'm not in love with season 2 of the punisher.
I liked the first 3-4 episodes. That bar room fight scene, the standoff at the police station.

I’m 8 episodes in now and bored though. It’s the same old problem with the Marvel shows on Netflix.. 13 episodes is waaaaay too many. So much filler, unfocused story, slow as hell etc..

Make it 6-7 episodes, cut out the filler and small talk? Then you’ve got a show.

We both love Peaky Blinders. Can you imagine them having 12+ episodes a season? Less is more, people!

Got into watching Nash Bridges....again! 1996-2001. At the time I thought it as sort of over the top family oriented Miami Vice! But I really like it now, compare to the crappy shows on prime time over the air TV national networks now a days. I am getting into the character Nash Bridges. Plot and tone of the show is perfect for me now. Here is a run down of the show below:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nash_Bridges

By the way, if anyone is interested in watching Nash Bridges, it on H&M network(usually a subchannel) on Monday’s. I found out that CBS wanted a season 7 but Paramount canceled the show because they did not want to pay the high end salaries of the actors, writers and staff which was approaching $2 million an episode. The ratings were okay too. Kind of stupid looking back at it now. Some shows now have $6 million an episode and the ratings are half of that of Nash Bridges in season 6.

Came across this 1957 semi documentary TV series called Code 3!
It about training a rookie police officer in this episode! It uses the older single handed grip style/technique that was used till the late 1960s to train how to shoot!
Many of today's trick shot artist still use the one handed pistol shooting for their trade! LOL!

... Loved Roswell too specially with the likable Shiri Appleby and Katherine Heigl (before she became famous in Grey's Anatomy) in the cast...
Mixed feeling about the new Roswell (New Mexico) series. 2nd ep somewhat better than first. Not yet finished watching the 3rd. Watching Roswell NM makes me really miss the original series. Prompted me to binge-watch most of the (1999) first season more than a week ago.

Your thoughts on the NM version of Roswell?

Only seen ep 1, as far as I can remember it's basically the same. Liz Ortecho [Parker] save by an alien named Max Evans [only this time he is the cop]. Liz got shot, healed by Max and left with an imprint on the chest [stomach]. . . . I missed the high school thingy but I'm okay with a Bio-medical Engineer/alien [cop] romance thus far. And, I am intrigued by Liz's dead sister [another subplot, long and winding story?].

I may go back to Season 7 of Cinemax’s Strike Back!
I did not like it that they got rid of Roxanne McKee only two weeks before the shooting took place in Malaysia. She was so hype to do the 7th season too!
