Your Most Helpful Pickleball Videos For Players 4.0 and Below

IMO, watching pro pickleball matches is one of the *least* helpful things you can do for your game. The pros move too quickly and their paddle techniques are too subtle for the 2.0 - 4.0 players to see what's actually going-on.

(I taught and coached tennis for 29 years. I know from experience certain teaching pros may be able to demonstrate tactics ... but they're mostly poor at communicating the technique they're trying to teach. Pickleball instructors come in those same packages.)

Here are some of my favorites, in order. Be sure to start with their oldest videos and work your way through; the techniques and tactics tend to get progressively more advanced.

1. https://www.youtube.com/@BrionesPickleball Jordan is very good at explaining the why and how. In his early videos his wife does a lot of the drill with him; she, too, is good.

2 https://www.youtube.com/@EnhancePickleball It was tough for me to choose which instructor to rank #1. Connor doesn't produce the volume of videos Jordan (#1) does, so he got #2. Connor's sense of humor "enhance's" his teaching videos.

3. https://www.youtube.com/@primetimepickleball/videos Nicole does a great job of teaching, justifying and demonstrating tactics for improvement.

4. https://www.youtube.com/@johncincolapickleball John was among the top players *before* Ben Johns came along (and schooled everyone else). John Cincola, with a single tip, is responsible for my game improving from 3.0 to 4.0 in about one month. (If you care to know that one tip, ask me.)

- I like coach Joe Gmuer because he is very pretty and has big muscles
Um ... okay.

His videos are popular ... and his advice is (mostly) sound. He used to post a lot of vids of he and his buddies playing. He's a better commentator than he is a player, IMO. And there's nothing wrong with that; a lot of professional coaches are not even close to the ability of the players they coach.

It's funny. I have your 3, 2 and 1 as my 1, 2 and 3.

1. Nicole is right to the point and her structure is very good. She really makes sense for me.

2. Enhance is also good but he takes more time explaining each point. I have to focus more because he makes many repetition's.

3. Jordan is okay but not my favorite. I don't know John Cincola but sometimes I watch Zane.

I should have titled this for 4.0+ players. Rather than start another thread, I'll just keep going.

Tony, with Pickleburner has spent a lot of time analyzing many matches and other instructional videos. Then he applies his findings to his own game and shares the results with us. Excellent!

Tanner is another player who has quickly risen to the pro level. He's direct and to the point, with very good tips.
