^^those are some shiny courts. Did they just wax them? :)

I went to the university of Oregon to watch my friend compete in a race(He was on the Nike Pro Team) and it had just rained a little that day but I wasn't willing to pass up playing on those courts. Even with the courts being a little wet I have to say those are the most beautiful courts I have ever seen/played on. I have never seen such even ground on a court before they were perfectly flat.

^^I was just pulling your leg a little. :)

As for jumping on the courts, even when wet, I understand. Us tennis players are just crazy like that.

Thanks for sharing the pic.!!

I know, I just had to explain my encounter though because I dream about those courts from time to time. I have played in the rain a few times this summer because I just wasn't willing to stop for weather. Luckily the person I play with is just as crazy as me.

I tend to avoid wet hard courts lately. Recently had a pretty bad slip after a light rain.

a lot of times with tennis courts and driving the pavement is the most dangerous after a light rain because there is still dust mixed with water which makes it the most slippery. After it rains a little the dirt and dust is cleaned off the court and it is less slippery.

Yea, I rode through many parts of LA. It was a Nike Sportswear sponsored event. They give you directions (what streets to turn on and such). I think that night, there were about 100 or more other riders as well. We came late, which is why I'm by myself in the picture. It was pretty intense for many reasons. One being, the numerous hills I had to ride. And since I was riding a fixed gear through the first half of the ride (no brakes and the peddles work the same as a tricycle, if you peddle it will move as fast as you peddle.) So going downhill was a challenge with me having to control and slow my legs down to slow the bike down. I almost hit a car because my legs were moving too fast. And I almost got hit by a car because I guess they didn't see us and try to make a right turn while we were going through the light. Fun experience though.
