It's funny, the guy that started this thread, hasn't posted here since 2008!
There are 17 registered sailing clubs in Serbia. Belgrade is on the confluence of 2 huge rivers, Danube and Sava, and it is the biggest sailing centre with 8 clubs. There are few lakes too, like Palic in the North and Oblacinsko in the South. However, the best reggatta venues are at the river Danube by Golubac and by Donji Milanovac on the Djerdap Lake where hydro plant transformed the Danube in a huge lake. This is where we sailed The Djerdap Cup and National Championships.
Yes, I went "back" to sail. I was born in Belgrade, but lived abroad for last 20 years, currently in Vancuver BC.
Sounds like my life story, minus the sailing love...
Although, I stuck to the Southern neighbor, rather than Canada.
Svud smo po svetu... Pozdrav!
Last claycourt tournament of the year, pic taken end of october.
I miraculously reached the semis...
Oh ha ha...
Time to rescue this thread from the forgotten abyss of old and dusty threads.

now thats a throwback :^)
Tricoul este luat de pe TW Europe sau keller sports (nu-mi mai amintesc), si pantalonii i-am primit cadou. Nu prea cred ca sunt disponibili prin zona, eu de obicei comand online.
What is this??? Here I am away from this forum for some short period of time. Like half a year, and what do I find? This thread buried and forgotten. Can't have that...
Me as the assistant coach with the team to the left warming up, and our equipment manager hiding behind the bench:
Some of the girls I tried coaching:
That's some of them (my daughter Emma in the center) celebrating 2:nd place - imagine how it would have looked if they would have won... Now to be fair to them - this was an all girls team participating in a boys hockey tournament - with full body contact and all - and we beat all the boy teams sans one - the one that won the tournament.
The best part of it was silencing all the parents of boys in the other teams that before the tournament had expressed misgivings about if the girls "would be able to handle the boys game" and "wouldn't having a girls team on the tournament lower the over-all level of the tournament"?
Peter, congratulations to your daughter and her team on their second place finish. Those are some appropriate uniforms for the WILDcats-I love them. Ought to send that last pic to (NHL commissioner) Gary Bettman-might give him some ideas for next year. Ha ha ha!!!!!
Great pictures Jeff - really like the "action" in them.
Myself... Haven't played tennis for a year now. And just twice last summer. Stupid back :-(
Thanks man! It helps to have a willing photographer in my girlfriend.
I fractured a toe sliding for a drop shot ball at the net, so I'm out for a little bit. Who'd have thought a little toe would hurt so bad?
Good luck getting "back" on the court! Glad you revived the thread. I like posting mine here.
So a morning two months ago, when extremely hung over, I decided to practice serves.
I wanna see some faces
So no new faces?
It this a public court in Sweden in early April? It looks very nice.
As for coaching tips, I am not too sure about the pronation and supination, but it looks like you’re serving with the wrong hand!
