Your Poly/Syn Hybrid Tension?

When you use a Polyester Main and Synthetic Cross hybrid, how do the tensions of the string compare? ie: cross 2 pounds tighter; mains 3 pounds looser, etc.

Lately I've been stringing both the same tension (ie: 55 pounds for both poly main and syn cross).

According to Luxilon.com they recommend that the synthetic crosses be strung 5% higher than the poly mains.

T-W states that the mains should be 2-3 pounds tighter than the crosses.

Maybe the two opposite recommendations above depend on whether the main is a poly or synthetic.

Thanks.

TW's recommendations are for full sets and not Hybrids.

You should always Trying to get as close to a CONSTANT STRINGBED STIFFNESS (CSBS) as possible.

So if you hybrid a soft Natty gut/Prime Multi with a stiff COpoly, then go 3-4 lbs higher on the soft string compared to the stiff string - NO MATTER IF THE SOFT IS IN THE MAINS OR IN THE CROSSES!

If the CoPoly you use is a soft one like the new WeissCannon TurboTwist, then go only 2-3 lbs higher for the SOFT Natty gut/Prime Multi.

IN MY VIEW OF COURSE :D
