And for the last couple years and foreseeable future I have settled on the Babolat Pure Storm ltd. which is by far my favorite racquet of all time. Best specs and control. Only only only wish is that they made this exact stick in a 16x18 or something a bit more open. I would never buy another racquet again. Oh well, I really enjoy them and now that they've stopped making them I'm glad I've got five stashed away :)

Just remembered in the mid 1990s I cheated with the Donnay ProOne mid for about 3 years after the PS 6.1...

UPDATED: just went back down memory lane...

Dunlop 200G

Love the feel of the vcore. I can't believe that I am able to generate even more spin than with the APD and have better accuracy on my serve. Not as much pop as the APD but still able to generate penetrating balls.

Ukranian/Russian no name wood racquet
Prince Pro 110
Wilson (tie die color) frame from Sports Mart
Wilson Hammer 6.2 (Davenport racquet)
Volkl Classic C10
Volkl C10 Pro Tour
Volkl DNX 10 mid
Volkl PB10 mid
Volkl C10 Pro Tour

Of course I tried most of the well known brands inbetween those racquets like the APD original and the plus, Prince 03/Ozone Tours and Pro Tours, Babolat Pure Drive & Storm, Blackracquet (aka Gamma RZR 98 ), Yonex RDX500mid, RDS001mid, RD-7...
Now I am fooling around with the Head Prestige line, I have the MG MP, LM MP and the Youtek MID.

I just keep coming back to the old C10 Pro Tour :)

Some cheap junior crap machine
Wilson nSix.One 26
Wilson [K]Six.One 95 (18x20)
Head YouTek Graphene Speed Pro

As you can see, my racket history is admirably extensive. And yes, that is a jump from a sub-250g junior stick to a heavy mid. Served me for over three years too. Went to the Speed Pro for a little more forgiveness, but I'm looking into some of the 2014 frames (Graphene Prestige, Pure Strike/Control, etc.) because it turns out I don't really need that forgiveness and I'm struggling to perform my all-court game comfortably with confidence.

Here's mine:

Babolat Drive Z-Max
Babolat AeroPro Drive (1st edition)
Babolat Pure Drive Cortex
Wilson KBlade Tour
Wilson 6.1 K90
Babolat Pure Storm Tour
Prince Exo3 Rebel 95 (1st edition)
Babolat AeroPro Drive GT
Yonex VCore 100s
Head Youtek Prestige Pro
Head IG Prestige Pro
Head IG Prestige MP
Babolat Pure Strike 18x20

Rackets I've actually switched to:

Started:

Head Flexpoint 5.2
Prostaff 6.1 Classic
Wilson K Prostaff 88
Head MG Prestige Mid Prostock
Head Youtek Prestige Mid
Babolat Pure Drive Roddick GT Plus
Babolat Pure Storm LTD
Babolat Pure Storm Tour
Wilson Steam 99S

Basically the 99S has been my main frame since May, but I still go back to the Prestiges to hit, along side the Pure Storms every once in a while.

That's in the past 4 years roughly? Of course I've demoed every frame under the sun, but those were my main rackets.

-Fuji

HS late 1980s-early 1990s
Prince Response
Prince Triple Threat graphite mid

(No tennis for 15 years)

Last 10 years

KFactor 90 (not bad, hard on the arm)
BLX 90 red black gold (softer and better feel)
BLX 90 ProStaff white and red (much better feel -Current Weapon of Choice)

In the demo bag (2013/2014)
New Prince Response (hell no)
Prince 98 Esp (a strong maybe)
Prince 100t esp (prob no-too light)
Head Radical Pro Graphene (too stiff-ouch)

PHASE I - Starting to play tennis regularly in Fall 2011:
1) Prince ThunderBlast Oversize 107
Just started and found this in Salvation Army for only $3.
2) Volkl PowerBridge 8-315
Played with a friends Pure Drive and bought this on clearance as lower price alternative, but decided I wanted more of a "players" racquet.
3) Head Microgel Prestige MP
Liked the control, but decided I needed more power.

PHASE II - Players racquets with more power:
4)Wilson N-Code 6.1 95
Played great, good power - little harsh and just too heavy over time.
4) Head I.prestige MP (bought at same time as N-code 6.1 95)
Played great, amazingly solid and great feel - just too heavy over time.
5) Pro Kennex 7G
Played good & good at everything & not too heavy, but not as good as the i.prestige MP which left an impression on me.
Wife took up tennis with me, but wrist was hurting while using Prince TB 107 while I was playing the 7G. So I gave her the 7G and pain went away + she still loves the racquet to this day.

Phase III - TALL ORDER - Players racquets with more power (like N-Code 6.1) + great feel (like i.prestige MP) + < 12oz strung:
6) Donnay Platinum 99 - Could not get used to overly thin beam.
7) Vantage 95 (70 flex) - WINNER and have been playing with it for over a year without even considering other racquets other than just trying out the 100" and the 63 flex versions.
I find them very solid even at lighter weights probably due to being foam filled and with the extra layers & quality graphite. They have plenty of power and customizable if needed as the pallets can be taken off to change around the weights in the handle. Plus, they can be found for low prices second hand.

Age 41. This is what I can remember so far. There are phases when I had multiple racquets and use overlapped a bit. Highlighted frames I used in in competition and more seriously than others. Usually had mutiple frames of the "competition" models.

1. Unspecificed wood racquets beloging to my parents
2. Prince Pro II aluminum
3. Wilson Sting midsize, Head Graphite Edge
4. Head TXD
5. Some Yamaha white graphite frame, Pro Kennex White or Silver Ace (not sure)
6. A maroon Prince OS frame (there was a mid version as well) where the hoop was flat at the throat area.
7. Dunlop Max 400i (my best junior/high school tennis with this frame, seems so tiny now, LOL; unspecified graphite Head frame purchased at sporting goods store.
8. An OS teal racquet from the Prince CTS line
9. Head Ventoris 660
10. Dunlop Revelation 200g
11. Prince Diablo mid
12. RACQUET JUNKIE PHASE - Dunlop Hotmelt 200g, Dunlop Aerogel 200g, Prince Graphite OS, an 11.3 ounce Fischer black/red graphite frame, Wilson K-Factor 6.1 18x20, Wilson ncODE 6.1 18x20, Babolat Pure Drive (older version), Babolat Pure Storm Tour (many of these bought used for cheap to just play around).
13. Wilson Six.One BLX 95 (16x18) (playtested it for TW and loved it, but have hardly used it since and really don't like it), Prince Graphite OS, again, after selling my previous two.
14. Babolat Pure Drive Roddick

I almost want to buy a Prince Diablo mid on clearance while they're still around. It's such an important frame in my tennis life. I had not played for 4 years throughout law school and thereafter. When I returned to tennis (not knowing anything about tennis specs or modern frames yet), I went up to Chicago to the old Chicago Tennis and Golf and tried a bunch of frames on their hitting lane and went with the Diablo (with a Head multi that I'd probably hate today). Got back into league and tournament play using the Diablo and it was may main racquet for three years. But, I'm not sure it would be good for me today.

I just can't seem to stay away from the mids. I don't know why but I didn't stay with the pure drives long. And the pure control plus was awesome. Best racquet was the old yonex great power for a 90! The prestige is the closest I've found to the yonex. In fact I still have the yonex but the grommets are so worn out and I can't find replacements :(
