This does not compute...fedr is champion if he beats The Nadal and Joe Kovic in b2b rounds. More realistic scenario is fedr defeats undercooked, overconfident Nadal in SFs after Matteo eats multiple Spanish bakery products in QFs.

I think Berrettini is being insanely overrated here. He has no BH and is mentally fragile, he's not remotely slam winner material at this point. Whatever round he goes out in at the AO, he's not getting close to the final.

The question is how far we think he will get at the AO. I will totally disagree that he did well on grass, his extremely limited grass game was ruthlessly exposed by old Fed at Wimbledon, it was embarrassing. It's great you have such high hopes for him, I like Berrettini too, but I don't think he's going to do much in slams next year. We'll see!

He lucked out at USO with an easy draw - all top seeds in his half falling and Monfils not finishing him when he had the chance.
Unless he dramatically improves his backhand and service return which at his age will be a miracle,I expect him to fall to the first decent opponent he meets in the draw.
His ceiling is 250 and 500 tournaments.
