Youtek Radical Pro questions

Does HEAD measure the youteks like wilson and babolat do now? From the inside of the string or the outside of the frame?

Also, does the youtek radical pro swing as heavy as that swingweight?
because that is a huge sw for not being that heavy of a raquet.

i am a happy user of this racquet. highly recommended. the SW can be very misleading. although it is supposed to have a high SW and even balance, it is much lighter. the SW feels like 320 or so, and the balance 3-4 headlight because of the heavy leather grip. also, because of the d3o, it is somewhat stiff from the baseline, although it is supposedly flexy. i do not know how its measured. also, it can hit pretty hard but its controllable power. great spin too

It definitely does not have that volkl/fisher feel, but I find it to be pretty comfortable and flexy. You should try it.

felt lower sw

yeah, i dont know if the d3o works, but it feels like it has the right amount of flex hitting hard, stiff so you get power but not so stiff it hurts, and soft and smooth at touch shots. i have not tried the fischer, but if thats your current racquet and like the stiffness, why switch? generally there isnt much of a reason to ask if something plays like something, you should decide for yourself.

The reason I'm really interested is the flex rating. Does it feel stiff or flexy like a fischer m pro?
hey jonny - i've hit with both. my ex girlfriend played with the mp pro 98 sl, so i got a lot of time with it. though i currently play with the yt rad mp i've hit with the rad pro.

don't let the sw of the rad pro scare you. if you want you can ask your retailer to sell you one with the lowest sw or one that is the most h.l.

the rad pro is very soft, but it flexes differently from the fischer. to me the fischer really flexes at the throat, and with the tapered beam felt stiffer in the hoop. the rad feels completely different. the hoop is really flexy and pretty low powered, and instead the throat is really stiff.

my guess is that you probably won't like it at first, but i'd encourage you to demo for more than a few outings. the feel on touch and delicate shots is worth it.

Just as a side note, I think this stick was made for a stiff poly, it really shines with them, and almost feels soggy with something like NRG2.
