Youtek Speed MP...18 X 20 or 16 X 19??

I have hit with the Speed MP 16 X 19. Very good power, excellent spin but not quite as controlled as I'd prefer.

I notice the Speed MP 18 X 20 is slightly more stiff and also, is 27 standard inches compared to the 16 X 19's 27.2.

I love the thin beam of the Speed MP and was wondering if I'd get a little better control with the 18 X 20 string pattern? Also, does the 27 inch length compared to the 27.2 of the 16 X 19 change things either??

Thanks for any thoughts. I did hit with the Prestige MP and I must say I love that racket as well. But, I'm wondering if the Speed MP 18 X 20 would give a little more access to spin and maybe slightly more power.

As a former world's number one you should know what you prefer, Connors! ;-)

The Speed MP 18x20 feels like the 16x19 to me, but it's not as powerful and tougher to spin the ball due to the string pattern. Control? Yes, there's more with the denser pattern. If you really want a control-oriented stick, look at the Prestige Pro and MP. They're where it's at.

Maybe I should just stick with the Prestige MP. I hit with it and it did feel great. Is it as powerful as the Prestige Pro?

Haven't hit with the MP yet, but I suspect the Pro has more pop--more open pattern and a little stiffer.

I demo'd the Speed MP 18x20 and found it to have plenty of spin and good power especially on serves. Lots of bite on the kick serve.

I'm loving the MP 18x20 after finally finding the right string for my preferences. I tried several combos and finally settled on Head Sonic Pro 17g (which is what Head suggests all along). A close 2nd place string is Alpha Gut 2000 18g.

I used to play with the Speed Elite and broke strings every 4-5 sets. Not an issue now.

the 18x20 has more control and torsional stability - that is it twists less... compared to the Prestige MP it has more power yet less control
Super generalization: So if you want the ultimate control, get the Prestige. Want a lil more power, go with the Speed 18x20. Want even some more power and spin, get the Speed 16x19
