Today every single match has been an upset. As long as Ancic holds on we can reverse that trend.

Dr Ivo got eliminated by the defending champ today, but Cilic is still in it.

Go Zverev!!! I pick this to be his breakthrough tourney.

Dodig (ATP ranking 425ish) has now taken out Andreev AND Gulbis. He officially has my attention. Who is this guy???

No, but he's been better than in the first match and he played really smart today, drove the hard hitting Russian crazy by mixing his shots a lot. The more he plays, the better he'll get I'd say, the crowd loves him in Zagreb and he loves playing for the crowd. Excellent place and a nice draw to gain some momentum and confidence.

Dodig is a guy who won one futures and played some challenger quarters. He played well today, but Gulbis should have won this if he exerted enough effort. I'm pretty pissed at him right now for that listless performance starting at 6:5 and serving for the set after a dubious out call on his first serve. For God's sake it was completely unimportant, Dodig went 15:30, get you head straight at least by TB time. Instead, he continued in the same vain for he rest of the match :x

Mario won 6-1 6-1? Seems to be gaining in form,shame that I didn't watch the match.Maybe he has a shot to go all the way here if he continues to play well.It would be good to see him win a title again,it's been so long since he won one.
 
Zverev-Hanescu was a very nice match to watch, more volleys than I've seen in entire January :D Zverev saved 5 MPs to win it.
 
Cilic in a tiebreaker for the second set right now.

Veic saves a few match points. Fun tie breaker. But Cilic still wins 6-2 7-6(6)

Ancic wins first set 6-1. On serve 3-2 in the second. The commentators feel like the line judges are favoring him?

Yeah,I'm watching.Mario really missed a great chance to win the first set,was serving for it and even had a SP,he really made things more complicated than it should have been.He just won the second set so it will be decided in the third.Mario played great in the second set,went for more off ground and kept points shorter and went to the net more,I think he'll take this in 3 now.

Thanks. I just started watching when it was 5-2 in the second.

He has been playing really well this week.

Definitely,in some of his matches this week he looked like 2006 Mario again although he also had mental lapses in some of them(against Lacko and today in first set)which is a bit unusual for him as he's normally very clutch.

Aw crap,Henrych breaks and will serve for the match next.Mario couldn't get first serve in at all in that game,too bad.

Unfortunately it seems it's out afterall,2 MPs for Hernych.

One saved with a FH winner,one remains.

And the second MP saved as well! Those were some wilanders from Mario.

So the final is Ancic-Cilic? My intuition told me Cilic was gonna be the winner from the very start of it and I still feel it that way. But seeing Mario perform so well I'll be rooting for him, just like the guy.
Btw, is he still sporting that mujahedeen beard of his? Oranges, tell the guy to get a clean shave when asking for his autograph...:):)

Haha, I think the beard was only while he was training in the Slovenian mountains. Scary look. Perhaps he should try it again just for the final ;)
 
Good playing by Jan Hernych. Thought I'd never say that. But a tough loss.

Ancic-Cilic should be a good one. Both players games remind me of each others
