I'm currently looking for a new pair of shoes to switch to. Any thoughts on the new Zoom Cage 2 would be great.

What are you switching from? What were the pros and cons of your previous shoe? What do you search in your new shoes that would be more suited to you (fit, comfort, durability, ventilation, etc.) compared to your previous shoes? You're not giving us nearly enough details.

Sorry about the lack of detail here. I am switching from the Air Max Cage. I currently wear a size 10. I'm looking for a shoe that can combine performance, light weight, and comfort in one.

According to the TW Playtesters the Zoom Cage performs similarly to the Air Max Cage. I also suggest checking out the Asics Gel Resolution 6, excellent all-around performer.

Would you take this shoe or the lunar ballistic and why? It doesn't matter on real preferences of mine. I just would like to know which shoe do you like better and why?

Depends of the price. I have a narrower foot. My heel doesn't fit in the Asics (too roomy). I liked the fit of the Air Max Cages but the heel was loose too although it was more or less fixed in the latter versions and the Zoom Cages most likely don't have this issue. The Lunar fit me much better but they're more expensive; expensive to a point I won't buy them even on sale. So I don't have any of the aforementioned shoes. For me, fit is very, very important and my foot isn't yours. I can only suggest to try them at your local sports shop if they have them.

big pro is the lack of bubble in the heel.. they would often implode leaving the shoes on life support. big con is that they are kinda ugly.. the cage was my favorite shoe and i am pretty happy i just picked a new pair for $50.. i will be moving on the lunars once this last cage dies in the next few months

Doesn't lack of bubble in the heel mean LESS cushioning there ?? how is that a pro ?

I'd take the cheapest one. And yes, your preferences DO matter, you're the one who's gonna buy and wear it, not me.

i think the zooms are comfortable without the bubble.. nothing more frustrating than to be three weeks into a cage and have the bubble pop...

just got them a few days ago and have been on court once so il report after a few more hitting sessions but the shoes seem to be good. Great ventilation because the cage has a lot of mesh at the top.
Traction is pretty good but occasionally you slide unexpectedly into some shots. Definitely runs a little wide which is great if you have wide feet. Some parts of the upper are hard and rubberized, which call for a little breaking in and possible blistering. Shoes are comfortable and the sole is beefy so durability should be solid.

i loved the cage.. wide for a nike and about as durable as you could expect..never had a pair last more than 3 months..but with the outsole warranty i have gotten a second pair from the website 6 times now.. i just sent back my last pair for a replacement yesterday,, i doubt i will find another... so the zoom 2 is just as good..better, since the very fragile bubble in the heel is gone.. similar now to a yonex power cushion..which is a fine shoe in every respect.

I swear, Nike builds certain shoes to give people bunions. They seriously need to reevaluate what their designers actually have in mind at times..
