Zverev asked about toweling

#1
"I'm probably the wrong person to ask," he told a news conference at London's O2 Arena."

"I think I've taken the towel once or twice this year, once in Acapulco and once in Washington when it was like 120 degrees and when it was 150 percent humidity."

"Maybe need to ask the Next Gen guys. I mean (Frances) Tiafoe takes the towel after every point and (Stefanos) Tsitsipas takes the towel after an ace or double fault."

LOL

I think I am the only player who carries a handkerchief. I keep it in my right pocket and put balls in my left pocket. I will put it out to dab away some sweat. Occasionally, I open it and fold it the other way to use the other side. I don't use a towel.

But then I try not to exert myself too much so the pros cannot use the same scheme.

This toweling discussion reminded me of how a few players like Baghdatis used to use his own shirt to towel off. Nishikori tends to do that a lot too.

Wrt to Zverev, it does sound like he's already an ATG.

I wish someone on here was actually amusing, even the attempt at ridicule is just pathetic.

The lameness makes me sad.

Since when did Zverev develop such a following or was it because it's me that made the post? Please let me know so I can happily make more anti-Zverev comments in the future and put the butthurt on ignore.

Things like that make me happy.

No responses so I guess it was just cause it was me. Buh-bye slice and devil.

Oh and Zverev sucks and I hope you people realize this was a dumbass thread about a towel.

TBH I'm not really a fan of either unless they stop Djokodal and then I'm jumping on the wagon out of pure selfishness.
I get tired of getting whiplash from emotional 12 year olds. This is why I use ignore so judiciously - that way when the off-board what'sapp groups decide on a single mind-set I don't have to wonder why the wind changed directions. I'm already ignoring it.

Nadal takes the towel possibly more than any other player but he doesn't dare mention him, so he picks on two guys who have won 2 events in their careers. Murray and Shapovalov are two other really bad offenders of taking the towel endlessly.

Zverev is such a jerk.

Would have been no sense mentioning Nadal as he was asked regarding what they did in Milano.

"This week at the Next Gen Finals in Milan, players have been forced to fetch their own towels from boxes stationed in the corners of the court and while it might be a shock to the system for some, Zverev suggests it is about time."

If you bothered to read the article.... 8-B

Not only you but the other two winers as well.
He was adressing this to the Nextgens because thats what it was about
He said nothing about not being a Nextgen.

It doesn't bother me as in I take it personally, it bothers me because it's tedious and obnoxious and I'm too old for tedious and obnoxious. Now I don't see it. It's all good.
