No excuses for Thiem but Zverev had declining Djoker, injured Federer, lousy ATP 1000 final player Thiem, and erratic Berretinni in his ATP 1000 wins. He lost to Isner in his Miami final. Yeah, he has four ATP 1000 titles but they have asterisks galore.

Most players never translate into best-of-5-sets, because they lack the ingredients of a man.
Zverev is just another statistic.
Same as Diego Schwartzman.
Diego beat Nadal 62 75 at Rome last year.
