He won retire at all. He is 26 years old. Just now. He will play around 10 more years.
I don't know why people think players aside from the big 3 (+ Murray) will be playing at age 36. That is an extreme anomaly in tennis history, almost nobody in the history of the sport played professional tennis at 36.

Even more recent generations on players like Raonic, Berdych, Roddick, etc. all quit in their early 30's. A handful of players in the OE were actively on court at that age and capable of winning events: Laver, Rosewall, Connors, big 4, Feli, Isner and a couple others. Andre played only a few matches after turning 36. Stan and Gasquet are still active but couldn't win a 500 if their lives depended on it.

If Zverev is losing first and second round in every even when he's 29/30, he's not playing till age 36.

Zverev is far better player than Milos. How many masters has he already won. And how many big titles.

Regarding fitness. He has been injured for the first time in a long time and that wasn't stress related injury.

Cause its the new normal for some reason
Sorry, it is emphatically not.

The only players in the last 80 years to win a slam at age 36 or above are Fed, Rosewall and Rafa (who had turned 36 two days before the RG final last year). The number of active players in tennis at age 36 is a tiny fraction of the pro tour.

If it's the new normal, please explain why the only players who are 36 or older in the top 100 are:

Stan
Isner
Gasquet
Rafa

That's 4%.

It's a complete myth, please stop pushing it since it's ridiculous and proven to you in the stats above. The vast majority of players retire around 30, even in today's era.

Good news, Zedfans. It seems today Sascha secured his Top100 spot for the whole 2023 season.
After reaching 4R in Rome he's got 1360 ranking points. 720 pts to be defended in Paris.
640 pts gives #97 at this moment.
