Zverev scares ballboy

It's a minor lack of consideration for others, but the fact that others do it (which I mentioned) does not exonerate it.

No one is asking them to stop. They just need to be a bit more mindful of others.
Its not possible to promptly stop when you are on the run and got some speed.
What should he had done? Throw himself on the ground not to get too close to the easily scared kid?

Sasha is a player that is really nice to his fans, a lot of kids look up to Sasha. He is a kid friendly guy.

He certainly did something wrong, albeit minor. He invaded the ballkids personal space in an aggressive manner, albeit unintentionally.

A little less self-absorption and a little more respect for others in one's environment is something that Serena, Krygios and Zverev need to work on.
Unintentionally? That conclusion would require you being in Zeverev's mind. It's possible it was unintentional.. Also, possible it was intentional, similar to what you wrote, he saw the ballkid and just didn't care. He was going to do the fist and yell. In looking at video repeatedly, Z was directly looking at the kid...and, he could kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

I think we can make a movie out of this. How to Kill a Mocking Ballboy. Or Kill Two Birds with 1 Stone.

With Zverev's ego do you really think he even knew the kid was there? As if Sasha acknowledges children, pffft!
Even if he knew he may not have cared, or at least not expected to scare the ballboy regardless. I'm of the same opinion as you tbh. This is much ado about nothing, and it would be nothing if the kid hadn't reacted like he did.

Granted, I don't blame the kid, but this isn't like say, what Verdasco did. Zverev wasn't actually shouting at the kid. He just scared him.

Even though it is most assuredly "much ado about nothing" I predict at least another 6 pages of nastiness, name calling, false accusations and whining by all involved, on both sides, because that's just how we roll here!

There's that word again. Frightening. I wonder if it was intentional. ;)Zverev scares ballboy. It must be October.
I was at a bus stop as my car was at the workshop getting some work done and it was late - about 10pm. The bus stop was at an industrial area and it was empty and very quiet. I was busy listening my music without having much awareness of my surroundings but it did feel awfully empty - a bit spooky even considering the area. The bus was running late or so it seemed. Suddenly, I felt the need to check my back so I turned around and there was this Indian looking woman, tall, wearing all white long clothes with very long hair standing exactly two feet behind me. I jumped slightly (in my head, OMG what is this?!) and dropped my phone which nearly broke btw as it was concrete floor, but she didn't smile or told me, 'oh I didn't mean to scare you!'. She just stared at me instead with a poker face. The bus came soon after. I was relieved. We both got on the bus and it was almost empty. I sat down and she sat down almost right next to me. I wanted to ask the bus driver or the guy sitting on the other side,, 'do you see her? or is it only me?' But I thought that might offend her if she was, you know, real. So I just looked back at her again and smiled. This time she smiled back. I wanted to say, 'I hope you are real. If not, then please don't scare me any further and pleas don't follow me. I pay my taxes if you must know.' As spooked as I was, I was also having fun in my head but I probably should have sued her for sneaking up on me like that.

What about Muster? That nutter used to scare ball kids, linesman, you name it lol....

Seems Zverev wanted to celebrate by singling out one person, it so happened that the ball kid was closest. Poor kid, almost had a heart attack

Very compelling story. It captured my interest at least. :D

Zara, did the mysterious lady in white purchase a ticket when she got on the bus? If she did then the driver must have seen her and she was probably real. :)If not, cue Twilight Zone music pronto!!!

We all carry cards which we tap as soon as we get on the bus but because I was still very spooked by it and she was right behind me, I didn't look back to see what she was doing, but if she had tapped hers too then I would have heard a sound. Or she might have had a senior card that she showed to the driver which again I wouldn't be able to tell because I got on the bus first. She looked like this only her hair was more black. Maybe she was my spirit guide tagging along to keep me safe lmho! I probably shouldn't have been in that area to begin with especially that late a night but I needed to buy something from a store.

A bit of an ego (or even a lot) is all good. It's better than mild and meek especially in a competitive sport like tennis. If Sasha believes he is one of the best then he will manifest his desires at some point in his career. And that should be the mindset of a top player so I approve Sasha's ego.

Besides, it's too much negativity to carry around for someone we don't even know all that much.

But I don't think it's Sasha's ego that really bothers others. Some or a lot, as far as TTW is concerned, wouldn't like him regardless for a number of other reasons. And it's mostly their problem.

After viewing the full replay of this point a few time using the match replay feature on the Tennis TV app, I think it was a jerk move by Zverev. He had time to avoid getting so close to the ballboy. Zverev comes across as a fairly self-absorbed dude to me, so I'm not surprised by this behavior.
