Zverev will win at least 2 grand slams in 2025.

Despite being exhausted in the WTF he took one set off Fritz's on Fritz's best surface and Zverev's worst.

We could see in some moments of the match how much Fritz respects Z. The way Z was playing today, being much slower and tired than usual, Fritz should have beaten him in straight sets.

Z was getting late to all the balls and didn't even try to run at times. Only his serve kept him in the match. If you couldn't see this you're blind as hell.

Should Zverev and Alcaraz meet next season in a final, a fresh Zverev with his improved serve and consistent aggressive groundstrokes will beat him for sure on any surface.

However there's a high chance Alcaraz won't make it to most of the major finals as it happened this year, so maybe he will avoid the embarrassment of playing Zverev in the final of a major.

@Djokovic_is_the_best#1 some people just can't win slams and Zverev is one of them. Just look at that deciding tiebreak, we've seen it over and over again. Better quality players like Tsonga and Berdych couldn't even win one and they were better than Z
I agree. He probably choke against anyone but take out the sinner, Alcaraz, Djokovic and his bogey player Fritz and he might crawl over the line! Lol

He'll be 28 at the next RG. The clock is ticking. Once he turns 30, and remains slamless, I dont see it happening. Sinner will be 26 and Alcaraz will be 24 and both will be peaking.

And even those better quality players would have no chance against Peak Sinner, who is a lock for the 2025 AO and USO and to win at least one of the other two slams. I think he will only end up with three slam titles in 2025, but the CYGS is also very possible!

Zverev historically in the majors is someone who wastes energy when facing opponents who in theory should get rid of him in 3 sets, and instead he very frequently complicates his life by only winning in the fifth set.
We saw him at the last Australian Open where, despite winning by 5 sets, he was punched in the face by the Slovenian Klein, just as in the next round it took him 5 sets to get the better of Norrie.
And even with Alcaraz he should have closed it in 3 sets and instead just when he went to serve to close the case he was broken only to then lose the third set in the tiebreak.
But what about Roland Garros and his battle with Grieskpoor or the subsequent one with Rune.

So my question is;

If due to the passivity of his game he has always wasted useful energy in the intermediate rounds, why should this trend suddenly change.

Zverev is 27 years old, he is now this player's strengths and weaknesses.

They played in a far tougher period to win slams. Either of them would be legitimate contenders for a slam today, they just don't have the consistency to be #1 like Alcaraz or Sinner.

Why stop at 2 slams? Zverev will win the CYGS in 2025.

Probably two Grand Slams in the same year. It would take that kind of hoodoo to alter reality enough for Zverev to win it. That, or he will clear the field by assaulting Sinner and Alcaraz, sending both into months of recovery.

He has literally become Fritz's pet ( at least for the time being) , how can you expect Zed to win 2 slams if he is unable to beat Fritz( who is not a pushover of course, but still)

He can’t win the big match.
Theim in that uso 2020 final was worn down coming in. And yet - he couldn’t hold what looked to be a 3 set win.

It’s mental lapses under this type of pressure that hurt him.
