Zverev will win the French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open 2018

Zverev is out of control, no one can rival him right now. Nadal and Federer are old and broken down, and this young gun can challenge them even at their pocket slams. Zverev has three masters to his name, demonstrating his ability to dominate the field, and soon he will strike at the slams, winning three this year and then maybe all four next year. I'm predicting the only sets he drops are to Nadal at the French, otherwise he will win easily and handily.

No miracles this year. I say no slams. I don't get caught up in the moment of him wining best of 3 in a masters event to slams. Delpo will win another slam before tummy boy.

You guys read OPs username right?

He’s dunking on y’all.

air canada - vince carter. Funnily enough if you had the full clip of that dunk, the arrogance, the swagger, him saying "its over" to the camera and competition... thats exactly what I want to see... but when Zverev does it or even when Nadal says Thiem isn't a threat all hell breaks loose

Federer had a more complete game than Zverev does. I think Sascha is able to the question is will he?

yeah they are not in the same universe, but zverev on his side has the mug era that is this one

I wasn't saying he will do it btw, just saying federers results where just as tennis_pro was saying in that picture. Lol it would have been hilarious if TTW was big back then when fed was here. there would be endless threads saying what a mug mentally fragile error bot he was. He got that 1R exit at FO, everyone would be mocking, writing him off..... but of course we know the very next slam after that he won and then pretty much did that 12 slam rampage

Fed has been written off more than once in his career, as has Nadal and now Djokovic. These guys are not multiple slam winners because they are weak. They are multiple slam winners because they take their weaknesses and work on them. Fed improved his backhand and Nadal his net game and Djokovic his fitness. It’s the will to win and the desire to work that makes a champion.

Zverev will win a slam in 2018. It's a certainty, 85% chance. Most likely the USOpen, but who knows, he could go on a run and take them all. It's happened before.

French Open: It's already in Rafa’s trophy cabinet, most certain win in tennis and perhaps all of sport in history.

Wimbledon: Fed isn’t getting any younger but even so he should win this comfortably, barring any injuries or amazing tennis from someone like Cilic or Novak.

US Open: this one will be a free for all, like you said this is Z’s best chance and I wouldn’t be surprised if he won it but I’m going for Dimitrov to win this one, call me insane but it’s about time he won a slam.

Zebrev in December 2016:

A bold prediction for 2017: Zverev will win US Open.

Think about it, Murray and Djokovic and Federer will all be in their 30's. They will be reaching the end of tournaments all year and by September they will be very tired off, most likely. Us Open is there for the taking in these circumstances, and if not Zverev then who?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Zebrev in December 2018 will poast something along the lines of:

A safe prediction for 2019: Zverev will win his maiden slam title at the Australian Open. Complete, irrefutable certainty – at least 80% sure!

I'll just say moderately insane. Dimitrov's great chance was this year's Australian Open. The US Open is a total crap shoot though. I could see any of the following winning it: Federer, Nadal, Del Potro, Cilic. If Novak is somehow in form then he'll have a chance. Sadly it probably is a good opportunity for Zverev to get his initial slam.

you're too late to the part, you realize in 2016 there were already hundreds of threads just like this about EVERY SINGLE NEXT GEN "phenom"
and none of them have won a slam, and won't , because
David Ferrer is knocking and I think he's coming in to win the FO thi syear

Zverev legs are too tiny to carry him in Bo5, in a few yrs time he train the Novak stamina maybe have chance.

Hit big and play powerful in Bo3 but inconsistent over whole year.

I DID NOT say it was a certainty in 2017. I clearly stated it was a prediction, and even say, "if not him then who"?

What I AM saying, however, is that it is a 85% certainty that he definitely will win AT LEAST one of the next 3 slams. Most likely the US Open.

By the way, if you really want to do some digging, go back to the Australian Open 2017 general thread, where I correctly predicted in the first few pages that Federer would win the tournament.

So in other words, the more times Zverev fails to live up to the slam predictions, the more certain you become in your predictions that his success is right around the corner:D

Good job on the Federer prediction, though. I suspect your predictive skills are a bit more detached and accurate when young Zedi is not involved;)

If he faces Nadal at FO it's going to be like a bad bad dream. Nadal has the perfect game for a player like Zverev. His serve isn’t saving him, nor can he grind out Rafa. Rafito is going to exploit Zeds height. His ROS Isn’t very aggressive, so wont get any big advantage of Rafas serve.

I don't think there is a single version of Nadal at the FO which could lose to Zverev and that includes 2004, 2015 and 2016 (pre injury).

How? He already reached 2 quarters in his teens. Won Wimbledon in 2003, lost early at the US Open, won the AO, lost early at the FO.

brah check it in wiki, he had all mug rounds especially alot of 1R, two QF were freak episodes, even before he won his first slam he got a 1R exit the slam before, a 4R before that, another 4R, 1R, and again 1R, 4R and son on

And that was in the era of teenage prodigies too

I can tell you right now without checking that Federer was capable of beating top 50 players in a Slam before before his 22nd birthday.

I think Zverev will broke the GS ceiling he have now and reach semi final.I am not sure in which major though.Once he doesn this he will become more consistent in GS I think.

Zverev is a new player with his new serve and forehand. Don't know where it came from, but he really been dominating lately. Outside of an injury, don't know what can stop him right now.
