Life lesson:

Aspire to be the guy who has his results copy pasted to make fun of another guy.

Be the guy with three slam wins in a row.

Zverev is a new player with his new serve and forehand. Don't know where it came from, but he really been dominating lately. Outside of an injury, don't know what can stop him right now.
You will find out soon enough;).

Are you Zverev? You seem just as cocky:D:D;)

One aspect of his game that has improved considerably;including his fitness is his shot selection. He pushes his opponents back with a heavy topspin shot and moves in far more than he used to. Fundamental, but very noticeable change

Federer on grass with slice and drop shot like in Halle last year.

A 52 minute clinic on how to stop Zverev.

I watched the match in live and I can say that Federer was on fire and unstoppable in that match. As long as Fed plays on a not so far level from that match and uses same/ similar tactics ( like one deadly low bouncing slice and then powerful fast topspin ), I dont see how Zverev could possibly win against Fed on grass.

Of course.

Besides, Federer wasn't losing to some mugs in 2003/2004 in the Slams - he lost to Nalbandian at the AO/US and to Kuerten at the FO in 2004. Zverev is losing to mugs.

Couldn’t give a damn about Fed reaching 2 quarters really, it’s not that much bigger a deal than 4th round is it? and Fed lost to his fair share of not amazing players when he was young. Point is Fed won Wimbledon the first time he got beyond quarters. Against the current field, not a stretch to think Zverev could do that.

I’m not saying Zverev is even half the player Federer is. Nor do I believe OP is being serious. But his breakthrough at slams is likely to come soon and I think he can win one. If Fed/Nad are off their games, he’s as likely as anyone, irrespective of his prior slam record.

Oh, I also don’t care who he’s losing to at slams. It happens to young players. He really could just step right up and win one. You might not like to admit it, but he’s pretty good at tennis you know.

I am a Zverev fan, but I honestly don't see that happening.

I think he will make the French Open QF's
A 4th Round at Wimbledon
A SF or Final at US Open

I would give the US Open as his best chance, and it doesn't seem to far fetched either.

I think Boris Becker has been working with him and maybe at some point during this season he will make it official. If that happens then I'm confident he may get his first GS this year.

He's been playing on 3 consecutive Sundays. TOC for Madrid was very low but the fatigue will show at RG simply because he's a very big boy. Add to that his iffiness in Bo5. The title of the thread is in half-jest but the boy ain't ready. Can expect a deep Wimbledon run (QF & beyond) mefinks.

If he gets to the quarters of at least one then it would be an achievement. Then again it could be his breakout year. He could win one major, not 3.
