Zverev will win Wimbledon 2023

You’re only as good as your second serve, especially on grass. The dude proves that axiom, having never gone beyond 4R at SW19. He lost to obese Vesely 1R in 2019. Then in 2021 he choked away his comeback from two sets down with a 4-6 fifth set vs FAA. He was 3-0 with zero sets lost to his heretofore pigeon. 20 DFs didn’t help much, nein?

You mean Mischa Zverev winning the Senior Gentlemen's Invitation Doubles at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships?
haha, exactly...did not see your post, but my first thought
Never understood why people embarrass themselves starting threads like these over and over...

That's the problem with prediction threads. You never know whether it is stupid or brilliant.

Bump as I am committed to it.

Sascha has been great in Paris.
Will be even greater in London.

Zverev was performing very well in Halle last week, despite disappointing loss in the SF to the tournament winner Bublik.

All he needs is a decent draw at SW19. Maiden slam trophy is within his range.

Went from +3500 to +2500. Free value there and I didn't go for it.

I don't think he can win, as he'd probably choke, but with decent draw he makes QF or SF I guess. Very hard to imagine anybody but Novak winning though.

What odds do you give the wonder boy to do it?

Hope he wears his chainz and bra when he does it.

Zverev suffered one of the most gruesome ankle injuries I've ever seen in tennis 13 months ago. He was just entering his prime, had just won Olympic gold and gave Nadal one of his toughest RG challenges before the injury. I don't think he was ever going to reach ATG levels, but the guy certainly was finally coming into the best form of his life and would've been someone all players would've preferred to avoid in their draws. He beat Carlos at RG and probably would've beaten him a couple more times over the past year had it not happened. He would've had an outside shot at a major during the past year or so if that form had continued, but unfortunately for him he'll probably never get there again.

Brouwer finished in three sets. Next one: Watanuki.

Um.... Rune is 2-0 against Djokovic. Novak's never closed one damn thing against Holger.

Until further notice we have to assume Djok is playing possum in those 500s and 1000s, because he's just unstoppable at majors. Beating him outside a Slam means nothing. And I say this with regret bc my current favorite player beat him at a Masters too

If they’d change the slams to best of 3 we could be cool like the WTA and have a new slam winner every 3 months.
