I know for sure they're going to drop around the AO time period. Does anyone have any ideas on what color they will be? Any specs as well? I will update as I keep learning more about the racket.
Current Ezone 98 user. All they need to do is reduce the jarring, board-like upper half of the stringbed, and you'll have a racquet that does everything a Babolat Pure Aero/Pure Drive does, with way more comfort and better control. Please Yonex, do not increase the stiffness more than it already is.
I wouldn't necessarily agree with that. The Ezone, for the most part is pretty plush as it is. The increased stiffness over the DR actually offers more power on groundstrokes and pop on serves, without a noticeable loss in control. It's just the completely alien characteristics of that upper hoop to the rest of the stringbed that bothers me.Go back to the stiffness of the DR98 or DR98 Plus... thanks Yonex
A bit of lead at 10 and 02 would cure that.I wouldn't necessarily agree with that. The Ezone, for the most part is pretty plush as it is. Any details?it is 100% before AO. i know the 90% color scheme.

Bring back the DR mold!
I actually want to start a petition to bring back the DR. everyone would win customer,Yonex and retailers.
Most people are comparing the flex of the 98 sq in models.Guys why is the ezone dr stated as flexier than the curret model? ezone dr 100 had 69RA and the current one has 68 that's weird
once i got the string tension right on the ezone 98 i have definitely preferred it over the dr98, for the same reason you state: more pop. it plays bigger than its size ... basically an aeropro with more control thats easier on the elbow.I wouldn't necessarily agree with that. What tension do you string at? I find that a soft poly at around 47-48 lbs works best fo me. There isn't much (if any) loss in control compared to what I got stringing it in the low 50'sonce i got the string tension right on the ezone 98 i have definitely preferred it over the dr98, for the same reason you state: more pop. it plays bigger than its size ... basically an aeropro with more control thats easier on the elbow.

same ... 48 lbs, soft poly. 52 and 50 were too firm and boardy in my frameWhat tension do you string at? I find that a soft poly at around 47-48 lbs works best fo me. There isn't much (if any) loss in control compared to what I got stringing it in the low 50's
It seems like it's for the new VCORE Pro that Tiafo is using...I believe they just leaked the new Ezone model on the Yonex Instagram page.
“crush with control” is gonna be vcore, not ezone
Any other news on the 2020 EZone update?
I'd buy it just to pair with with Prince Prism Rainbow string. And make all the kids jealous.Yep it’s gonna be rainbow.
You still using the Ezone 98?It seems like it's for the new VCORE Pro that Tiafo is using...
Kinda. I've switched to my old Ai98 because I need a new grip... but I'm currently play testing the Gravity MP. So I haven't touched a Yonex in a few weeks. You still using the Ezone 98?
Right. The Ai was perfect in that regard. 19mm in the throat (felt amazing in the off-hand winding up a 1-hander) and 23mm in the hoop for power and stability.I hope the new version went on a diet and reduced it's beem width..
Picked one up cheap today, I liked the plus lengthKinda. I've switched to my old Ai98 because I need a new grip... but I'm currently play testing the Gravity MP. So I haven't touched a Yonex in a few weeks.
But new ones will be out in months, allegedly. I never fully liked the EZONE 98 update. I did play with my ai98 to compare with the gravity yesterday. I think the Gravity is growing on me...Picked one up cheap today, I liked the plus length

I also got one new for £60 ($70) was too hard to turn down! love the line and think I will stay with it unless Yonex really screws it up.But new ones will be out in months, allegedly. should have never sold my ai98 ...Right. The Ai was perfect in that regard. 19mm in the throat (felt amazing in the off-hand winding up a 1-hander) and 23mm in the hoop for power and stability.

I actually got to hit with the Gravity MP and my EZONE 98 tonight. Two completely different racquets - but I'm finding I enjoy the power and launch of the Gravity a little more. I have a lot more margin for error than I do with my EZONE 98...We just need to find the right string and tension for the Gravity. The Ezone 98 got stiffer in the hoop especially for those that came from the DR 98 models.
