I found the elektra to be very stiff, how is the green 600?

I found the Elektra Pro to be the most flexible when compared to the Prestige Pro and Elite Pro. I found the Prestige Pro stiffer and the Elite Pro to be in the middle of the two. I find the Prestige 600 when with C.A.P. System to play like the Prestige Pro. I know other guys that will swear that they two completely different racquets.

Hi vsbabolat,

I do not exactly remember now, but there are 2 variations of P600 on the "printing inside the head of the frame".
Are the P600 with "classic beam" printed inside the head plays the same with the P600 with "constant flex" printed inside the frame?

vsbabolat! you scored extra bonus points for those green CAP! I have a Prestige 600 and going to put on i.Prestige CAP on it and see if it's similar to my brown Prestige Pro. From my past measurement (balance and static weight), it's very similar to Prestige Pro.

Also, is there really two different versions of P600 like Tandayu asked?

I've been putting on i.Prestige mid CAP on my Prestige Pro, Prestige Pro 600 because the full CAP + natural gut would make them about 4-6 points headlight...too head heavy. That's with leather grip and overgrip.

Hi Vsbabolat,

Nice pics of the prestige pro (grey/green). How does it play compared to a prestige tour or PC600? Also, where do you get these green CAP grommets? I guess they are not made anymore and they are probably not interchnageable with current 600 models??

Yeah there are 2 variants the early 1991 racquets with just "Classic Beam" then the change to "Constant Beam Classic Flex". I have both and there is no difference to me. Also they do have Twaron in the layup. In addition I have racquets with misprinted stringing instructions in the throat. It says 16x19 instead of 18x20.

Natural Gut + Prestige Pro = Awesome

No, they are not 4 1/4. Sorry they are not for sale.

The Prestige 600 is very comparable to the Prestige Classic 600. If you match the weight, balance, and swing weight of the Prestige 600 and Prestige Classic 600 both with C.A.P. Systems the biggest difference is the different paint colors.

The green C.A.P. Grommets will fit all 600 Series Prestige except the Flexpoint Prestige 600 and the MicroGel Prestige 600. The diameter of the holes drilled holes are narrower. The MG Prestige 600 C.A.P. Grommets will fit all 600 series Prestige racquets though.

Here's a special one! I posted this a while ago but no one could make out what is saying on it. It's a mystery! Anyone else wants to take guess? I'm dying to know whose name is this.

does it mean that the MG grommets fits the old grey/green prestige? Have you tried it?

way to capture the irradessence, the only other racquet finish similar is on Bard, until you've played one for at least a few weeks outdoors; it's one of those things which unforgettable yet pointless to try to describe...

seems like there were 30-50 different cosmetics for the graphite pro mold and only 5 for the original prestige pro mold....

my austrian graphite pro has a beautiful albino twin sister, Elektra, they seem identical in so many ways!!!

I have no idea, but it's an all brown one just like the first Prestige Pro generation. This one is one of a kind cuz it of the personal engraving. Man, I wonder what I have on my hand.

even vsbabolat has not seen it before. :)

Weight and 'nib' diameter difference

Might be the wrong place, but whats the diff between MG and i. Grommets? Weight?

The overall static weight and the portion (shape and length) near the grommet channel end are different. The iPrestige grommets change to 'normal' grommets for the last 3-4 holes. Because of this mold modification, they weigh a few grams less than the MG/LM CAP grommets.

The MG CAP grommets are more malleable than the LM CAP grommets and the nibs are a smaller in diameter. I've found them easier to work with (bend easier and hurt your fingers/hands less when installing) than either the iPrestige or LM CAP grommets. Someone also stated that the MG Prestige CAPs are a few mm longer than the older CAP grommets.

Check out my thread on the Club Pro. The red/orange frame has MG Prestige CAP grommets and the Blue frame has iPrestige CAP grommets

Are the grey grommets of the elektra better (less brittle) than the white ones of the elite?

Not Plaz or VSB here... but perhaps I can be of assistance ;-)

I found the grey/green Elektra grommets less brittle. I pulled them off my Elektra and will pop CAP grommets into it. I saved them in case I ever sell it, though.

I agree, Elektras sweet army green original peebax grommets are tougher than potato chip white CAPS. I hit the stuffing out of the ball and none flew off!!!

I'd trade em for a kneissl anyday. I foolish traded the USA prestige pro without ever getting a chance to hit with it ( the actual one that appears on 80's tennis)... to "a friend of mine", my friend the "Itallian Stallion" (Don Massimo). "The Stallion" gave me my new World Champion for it (grazie, ciao). The red one I got specifically to trade with a good friend. I just realized I have to hit with it first though...
