Upgrade Gamma STII to Wise????

I only string for 3 people (me, wife, son).

I have a Gamma Progression STII with the floor stand.

I am debating if I should upgrade to the Wise electronic head. I like the idea of the consistency, etc.

Many, many years ago.....I learned to string at a small pro shop on an early version of the Babolat Star.


What are the thoughts from the Hive???

I also have a crank machine but mine is very old; an Ektelon Model D with the H upgrade package. I just strung a racquet for a friend the other day on a "newer" machine I picked up cheaply that is an electric/air compressor machine; a Prince P-200. It was awesome! The string bed when I finished was unbelievably better since I have trouble with giant frames; this was a Head Flexpoint 10 w/ a 121 headsize.

If you have the money and want to splurge, I say go for it. I am also thinking of doing the same. I'm either going to sell the P200 and but a Wise or just sell the Ektelon. I'm now convinced, the electric is the way to go.

It'll hold its value well. I see people sell them down the road for nearly the new cost.

You could also start stringing for other people as your stringing will undoubtedly be or become more consistent. That's my 2 cents!

I upgraded to a Wise about 2 months ago and will never look back. I only string for myself.

OK, I pulled the trigger and ordered the Wise!!!

Just a quick heads up, my wise treated me perfect before I moved on, now a friend has it....however I have had several friends order them and really have a ton of problems, apparently there was a bad batch...just a heads up and like I said, I had no issues with mine
